There hasn't been any good VC game in weeks and with EU and Japan both getting big releases, I think NA will have one out by Monday. Commodore 64 got a release lately? Check. TurboGraphx? Check. VC Arcade? Check. There has been at least one SNES and N64 release in the past month so if they pick one of the two systems, it'll most likely be either Super Mario Kart or Smash Bros. The NES hasn't gotten a VC game since Life Force on 2/16, over 4 months ago. So it's pretty likely an NES game will be released for VC soon and that should be Final Fantasy. What do you all think?
I'm not convinced that one region's activity influences another's. If it were the case, then NA would have a bunch of VCA titles instead of just wishing for them. Or... maybe it's just me.
You may or may not be on to something. Remember, in North America, there is no rational thought behind VC releases anymore. Logically we should be getting Smash Bros. very soon, but I have this bad feeling we'll be waiting a while for it. Same goes for Super Mario Kart. We still have quite a few catch up titles in the waiting like Secret Command, Fantasy Zone II, Altered Beast and like 15 C64 titles. Nintendo really needs to up the anti now but it's a safe bet they won't do that.
Future Wii purchases: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Metroid: Other M Zelda Wii New Super Mario Bros. Wii Sin and Punishment 2
I say its 50-50. We might just get a shitty Neo-Geo or Genesis game.
And what's so bad about Neo Geo or Genesis? You're probably just mad because Super Mario Kart & Super Smash Bros. arn't on the VC yet. You arn't the only one who uses the VC.
Someone once talked about low-profile games being released until the end of school (in the actual U.S; school ends in May in Puerto Rico). Considering that Super Mario RPG has been released on Labour Day, that prediction can be considered accurate.
(Also, there is the fact that Nintendo is saturated with requests/threats for Donkey Kart SmashBound Island, so these games have to come out, eventually.)

I don't know. Last summer was rather underwhleming for the VC, but it'd be nice if it was different this summer.
"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."
Yeah I thought Reggie said before the Summer months would be when they release the big name games on the VC because of dry spells in game releases until the fall. Last Summer wasn't too breathtaking though lol
In regards to Neo Geo, I for one dislike the VC system, because theyre 900 points (owch) and almost all fighters (blech.) Its probably many people's least favorite system, and a few people's favorite.

900 points is a small price to pay for pretty much arcade perfect versions of the games - the SNES and Genesis ports of Neo Geo games are vastly inferior in every way especially in graphics but would only cost 100 points less on the Virtual Console. If there was a game that you wanted to play that was available on the Genesis and Neo Geo at the standard price point per system which would you download?
And checking the Neo Geo games available on the Virtual Console right now reveals that just over half the number of total games are fighting games. That's still a good variety of NeoGeo games that aren't fighters. Your prejudices cannot stand up against the facts.

Well, they did release Majora's Mask as the 300th game. So sometimes they still think things through.

Besides, most of them are kick ass fighters! It kind of makes up for the fact that we still haven't seen a single Mortal Kombat game on VC. We need some more King of Fighters though! Some of the later games in the series really demonstrated what an incredible 2D power house the Neo Geo was.

What game is on the NEO GEO and the systems you mentioned? Any? Any notables? Also, I said "most" games are fighters and you confirmed that over half are. So, my "prejudice" DOES hold up to the facts.
If you like the NEO GEO that's fine. I know 900 pts in nothing compared to the original price but compared to other systems I don't see any worth it. Just my opinion in that part. Have a good one.

Anything could go for next Monday June 29th... be it something crappy or something glorious that you'll download instantly!
Also I've been holding onto my last Wii Points for far too long for Super Smash Bros 64; like everyone else who is utter utterly mad & dissapointed... it needs to come out now! If not this upcomming Monday... Nintendo will probably save it for the first Monday in July (the 6th), or somewhere in the month!
