VC is as dead as the Wii

I am honestly surprised that the SNES Prince of Persia made it to the Virtual Console. With the developer of said game dead along with the game being owned by Ubisoft, I did not expect it to ever see the light of day, with the legal issues and all that had to be around it.

Well Ubisoft is publishing it on the VC. They must now own the whole series despite who previously owned it.

What legal issues are you talking about. I'm not familiar with them.

The SNES version was developed by developer/publisher NCS/Masaya and published by Konami outside Japan. I thought Hudson had bought the rights to most if not all of their games (thought part is uncertain, if Hudson did own NCS' catalog or if they just had bought publishing rights individually to a large number of NCS games). But I guess since Konami bought Hudson that is less of a problem.
(would only involve settling rights issues between UBI and Konami)

Let´s see if America (the continent, not the country) gets a VC game too. I want anything but it needs to revive.

Capcom Will bring mega man 6, Mega Man 7, Mega Man X2 & Mega Man X3 to the VC. You'll see. .....Eventually......maybe.....Ah, who am i kidding.

I only want the rest of the Mega Mans and Super Bomberman 2.

Speaking of which why hasn't Europe received Mega Man X, yet? It's a little unfair...

I have no doubt that the VC wii come back once the wii U hits, and I see them releasing more arcade games as well like Sreet Fighter 3, Mario Kart GP, Marvel Vs Capcom, Dark Stalkers, and ridge Racer

So how will that work, is the game I want the least the same as say what Waveboy would want the least or do we have to individually rank every game from least to most wanted?

Well, first they'll need to take everyone's opinion into account and that may take awhile, don't expect any VC to be released while they're doing that.

We'll probably get Prince of persia tomorrow then VC will go right back into hibernation.
Really how hard is it to upload 1 stinkin game to the shop each week?
Don't give me the licensing crap either Nintendo. I could list all the games not yet released that have no licensing issues what so ever but I shouldn't have to.

Maybe if they really are doing the Wii is for the casual gamer and Wii U is for the hardcore gamer they are waiting for the Wii U to be released and plan to start releasing regular stuff for each system?

Also I've never played the SNES or Gameboy versions of Prince of Persha so whats the difference? should I just get the SNES, or just Gameboy or both? what are you recomendations?

Licensing isn't the sole issue. The cost of getting games ESRB rated is. Most publishers now see the Wii as a last generation console on its way out and they are working on providing games for new services. XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 remain profitable and popular so they continue to get games. The Wii, not so much.

Its not uncommon for a few games to be released after a console has commercially died. That doesn't make it alive though.
