I'm about 99% certain that Nintendo WILL allow you to transfer your VC games (and hopefully optimize them for HDTVs), so I wouldn't worry too much about this. But if they don't then I'll just give my money to Sony and/or Microsoft from then on
I don't really care, even if it is backwards compatible, because I'll be keeping my Wii, just as I kept my Gamecube last generation, but I'm almost positive Nintendo will find a way to do this.
