Is there a way to save the game is do you have to try to run through the whole game in one sitting?

It should save automatically as long as you return to the Wii Menu using the Home button. You can also write down the codes that appear after you die, and enter them next time you play, if you prefer the old-school method.

Also, with Dracula's Curse...do you ever get "extra" lives or is it only 3?

There are extra lives -- you can get them for attaining a certain number of points, and I believe there are also 1ups that you can find in some levels, but my memory is failing me a bit on that latter part, and I may be thinking of other Castlevania games.

Enter "Help Me" as you name, and you start with 10 extra lives.
