Due to EA's exclusive rights to the NFLPA, the Virtual Console release of Tecmo Bowl had to feature blank uniforms.
However, these rights expire in 2012, after which Nintendo can update everyone's downloads of Tecmo Bowl, and possibly even bring us Tecmo Super Bowl.
