What do you think is better, Super Mario Bros. or Super Smash Brothers?

Are we talking SMB1(NES) vs. SSB (N64) or their respective series in general? In either case...Super Mario Bros.

Actually, I take it back. Now, as much as I like the Super Smash Bros. series of games, I have more fondness for the Super Mario Bros. series of games, so I'ma have to side with the Super Mario Bros. side of the fence.

I know eveyone is going to hate me for saying this, but, I like SSB better. I like New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but I'm just not crazy for Super Mario Bros. Mostly because in SMB if you loose all of your lives, you have to start the game ALL OVER. Once, I got to world 5 but then I lost all my lives and I had to start back at world 1. Even though SSB doesn't have much charactors, it's still fun to play.

If you base a game off the amount of characters in it, then it's no surprise you pick SSB over SMB.
As much as I love SSB, I have to say SMB [besides, if it weren't for SMB, there wouldn't BE any SSB]

Silly question: Super Mario Bros. Unless we're talking about Melee and Brawl...in which case we might have a discussion.

@luigiman2: if you hold A while pressing Start to begin a new game after you die, you'll start at the beginning of the world you left off at (like if you died on 5-3, you'd start your game again on 5-1). :3

I do love SMB but Super Smash Bros has just been one of the greatest games to play of all time. Awesome with friends and good alone as well.
