Well since games from other CD add ons have come out I was thinking does anyone think Sonic CD will come out? Its a very very good game and one of the best of the old school 2D sonic games.
Well with the new storage solution, then I don't see why not, they have tubografx CD titles so why not Sega CD, I think the reason for not doing so in the past would have been for storage reasons, but I don't see that as being a problem anymore, wont buy it myself since I still have the original on Mega CD as well a on a PS2 compilation, but for those that haven't tried it would make a great VC game.
I've been wondering about this for some time- I think it's the best thing they could do for Sonic on the VC. Have 1 & 2, and feel that Sonic CD is the only other one worth getting.
Currently Playing: [360] Mass Effect, Shadow Complex, Trials HD | [Wii] N/A | [DSi] N/A
Hope it omes out. With this the Wii would have the best sonic collection: Sonic the hedgehog (genesis/MD), Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3, Sonic&Knuckles (probably), Sonic adventure DX (gamecube)
True that Sonic & knuckles hasn't been released yet and its been sitting in the coming soon chair forever. I've never played Sonic CD but i heard many good things about it, but I dont see the sense in releasing it before Sonic & Knuckles, & Knuckles in Sonic 2.
Sonic CD incorporates some of the best elements found in Sonic 1 and 2 as well as introducing Metal Sonic. I also hope that Sonic&Knuckles will be available soon.I wonder if we download this, sonic 2 and 3 we get sonic3&Knuckles and Sonic2&Knuckles?

Just get Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Gems Collection for GameCube, and you'll have all the pre-Dreamcast console Sonic games with the lone exception of Knuckles Chaotix (if you count the Game Gear games as being equal to the Master System games), along with the arcade game Sonic the Fighters and the Genesis games Flicky, Ristar, Vectorman, and Vectorman 2. Then, you can also get Sonic's 3 best console 3D games, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and Sonic Unleashed, and maybe go for the 2 storybook games.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

@ Mrpinguy: Very true. I wouldn't mind sacrificing the frame-rate though if we get the proper soundtrack. @ Bulbasaurus: Gems Collection has the horrible American music.
Actually i kinda like the US soundtrack it's really well done. But i like more the original one. The US soundtrack is good, but it didn't fit too well in the game theme, with the "Past" Music and it's too Archie-esque for my tastes. And the Final Boss music is so similar with the regular one that i tought it was the same track >_> So, as you, i wish to play with the original soundtrack. (And i already have Sonic Gems)
I played Sonic CD on the Gems Collection(GC) and I found it a little chaotic.. I felt that they rushed this game just for the launch of Mega CD back then..
Hyped about : Metroid other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros Wii,Golden Sun DS and the new Legend of Zelda!
Sega CD emulation isn't easy, which is why Mega Collection had it removed before release and Gems Collection used a PC port. There are fanmade emulators, but Sega doesn't seem too experienced in that field.
Gems collection has some of the worst sonic game of the 90's and replacing the Streets of Rage series for Vectorman was a bad move in my opinion. Sonic CD was the only highlight even if it was the PC port
