When I got a Gamecube for Christmas it came with a Zelda Collectors Edition. It has The Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. Since Majora's Mask came out on Monday, I have been wondering whether to download both of the games and sell my Collector's Edition.
The ones on the Gamecube have bad Gamecube controller controls and there are a lot of glitches.
Any help?
P.S. I will probably also get the original Zelda, but not Zelda II.
Sell the disc and get both on VC. Both N64 games have better emulation on VC(even though Oot wasn't so bad) and the NES Zeldas sucked with a GameCube controller. Plus, You'll never have to put the disc in anymore and just play the game without having to get off of your fat.
I'd do it, if you have an SD card to put them on. N64 games take up a lot of space. I haven't played these on VC yet, but I don't find N64 controls translate that badly to Classic Controller except maybe Star Fox (I got used to it though). Zelda though doesn't require a lot of buttons. The C buttons are not needed for precise timing or anything, so even if they're hard to reach on Classic, it shouldn't matter. Z, A, and B are all you need instant access to, I think, so that should be fine.
I'd say go for it. Not having to hook up GC controllers and memory cards is a great convenience, plus loading without a disc is, of course, too. There isn't a single game I wouldn't prefer downloaded than on disc, personally.
Plus, you'd be earning a bit of money you could put toward another download or two!
