Quality over quantity, in every aspect of life. I'd rather play Golden Sun than ten dozen bad JRPG's.
Yes, even in a question like this, I still manage a Golden Sun reference.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Quantity. The more games that are released, the more likely there will be something on there you want, whether it be a AAA title, something you have tons of nostalgia for, or something new that you've never discovered. There are tons of games on VC I don't want to buy, but I don't see that as a problem...I just don't buy them. Just like if I go to gamestop, there are a ton of games I don't want. I don't have a problem with them being on the shelves though, because nobody's twisting my arm to spend money on them. I'd rather have there be more I want to buy than can buy right now (the games in the library hopefully aren't going anywhere for a while).
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
If Nintendo starts cranking out VC games just for quantity's sake then people will complain about the massive amount of junky VC games being released (just like with WiiWare). It looks like Nintendo can do nothing right in the eyes of some. To answer the question, I say "Quality".

You'd rather play one bad JRPG than 10 bad JRPGs? Well, yeah, at least you end up playing less bad games, but why play any of them?
Was this really necessary, Adamant? You could have said you don't personally like Golden Sun, but to trash my opinion like that is rather immature. Just so you know, I've lost all respect for you and will ignore you from now on. I suggest you do the same for me.

I would go for Quality if we would ever get Earthbound, Mario World 2, BS Zelda no Dentsu, or Star Fox 2. There are so many great games they could put on the vc but we are left with so-so games.
Yes. You might want to learn a bit about jokes and tounge-in-cheek comments. No one's "insulted your opinion" or whatever here.
Also please note that nowhere in my post did I say anything about your opinion, and nowhere in your post did you say anything about how your personal enjoyment of Golden Sun. All that was said was that you'd rather play one bad game over ten bad games, and me questioning why you wouldn't rather not play any bad game at all.

I'd like a helping of that too, please.

NOA has been releasing VC for quantities sake. When was the last time they released a truly great VC game (Pulseman excluded)? Nintendo can't do anything right because they're one of, if not THE best companies out there. They tend to follow their own creative ambition than giving fans what they want. They manage to make quality game with lowest common denominator execution (Wii series, Animal Crossing, NSMB etc.) These games are great fun but were likely very cheap to make. They would have a WAAAAYYY bigger marketing budget than the budget used to create the games themselves. It's little things people complain about. Nintendo has a stuck in the 90's mentality but is that completely a bad thing? Well, I guess it is if you want more online and games to be more like blockbuster movies.
Looking at the Wii's lineup from a then and now point of view, the wii had a whole mess of crappy games. Everyone had to, in some ways still have to, wait for Nintendo themselves to release something truly awesome. As Miyamoto once said, a delayed game is only delayed until it's done, a bad game is bad forever.

@Adamant: ... maybe you've missed other threads where PhoenixSage has replied, but nearly every single comment they leave here on NL talks about how they love Golden Sun and how they can't wait for the new one to eventually come out. it's their sacred cow, man. :3

When I asked abut what maeks a "quality" title, I meant that some people think of "quality" titles as "good games," while others think of "big title games" (like the infamous Donkey Kart Smash Bound Island). Myself, even if I end up with a game that is not "quality" in either sense of the word, someone else in this world would be overjoyed toward its release.
Quantity. Because as you said quality games will be forced to be released at some point. And besides which, Nintendo won't not release a title available to them just because its a very bad game - if that were true, a number of very bad games already on the VC would not have been released.
If someone had gone for quality then we might only get one VC game in a month but it would be a good one yet all those average games that do have a few fans wouldn't get released.
Seriously, what he said. Just release as many as you can and get it over with.

Also, I'm sure that although we recognise certain games as being quality games, that each of us has a genre of games that we are not interested in. If we only got one quality game a month and its not of a genre you are interested in then you are pretty much screwed for that month and have to wait another month to see what the next quality game is.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
Quantity in this case, since there's so many of these games. Ideally, they should put every game they released originally in the old systems, as somebody might feel nostalgia of a certain game they played back then, even if it wasn't too good.
The good ones would come eventually if they intend to release them, anyway. It's not like they have a limit on the number of games they can release each week.
