to jump in to what tendoboy said I think that apple is trying to manopolize the industry so when there is no more companies to oppose them they can skyrocket the price. Wait...i'm changing the topic. Oops

Yeah, the eShop VC games are usually of much better quality than most of Apple's games. There will be some bargains from Apple of course and also some rip-offs on the eShop but in general, I think they are fairly priced.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

I agree with a lot of the Atari games that people have mentioned like Q-Bert, Frogger, Pitfall, etc. These games have a simplicity that made them additctive, I also grew up with an Atari with games like missile command, donkey kong, pac man. They were great them and are still great. My favorite was Adventure which so happened to be extremely complex for a game made back then and was the granddaddy of all of the Zelda games. We might not have Skyward Sword if not for Adventure.

Master System also had a lot of great games also besides Alex Kid, Wonderboy 1, 2, & 3, Mickey Mouse was awesome, Y's, Phantasy Star, plus a lot of others.

We would have had Skyward Sword without Adventure.

The 'discovery' of overhead action games would have come later than Adventure if it never existed but Zelda 1 would still have been released. The discovery would just have been made by someone else. Whether Zelda 1 came six years after the first overhead game or only two years after, it doesn't make a difference.

Possibily, but as things actually played out Zelda owes a lot to Adventure, just like many of the current games out owe a lot to the original Atari games. They stepped on the shoulders of those that came before them.
