I am interested in quite a few VC games, and I am kinda unable to decide.
So what i would like all you kind folk to do, is basically give me some one sentence feedback regarding YOUR feeling towards the following games.

Donkey Kong Country
Dynamite Headdy
Earthworm Jim
River City Ransom
Secret of Mana
Super Mario World

Also, i played and owned Donkey Kong Land, so i would like to know if it is worth it, or if i have experienced most of what DKC has to offer.

Incredible plattformer. I loved it when i was a child. Recommended.

Hhhmmmm... Didn't liked it very much because i found it confusing. Maybe Treasure's less good game.

River City Ransom

Interesting, at least. Give it a try.

Higly recommended only if you have the Classic Controller. Playing it with the GameCube is bnearly impossible and very uncomfortable.

Here's a running order that I'd play those in from my view (w/ some feedback):

1.Secret of Mana -- (If you are into high quality storylines, music, and zelda type games, this is definitely a pit stop)
2.Donkey Kong Country -- (I like this game mostly for its vibe/feel; definitely one of the best platformers)
3.Earthworm Jim -- (This is a cool one just for being kind of different and goofy; Jim is a character hard not to enjoy)
4.Super Mario World -- (Remember enjoying this a lot back in the day, but can't remember why being so long ago heh..)

As far as Dynamite Heddy and River City Ransom go, I've not yet had enough of an opportunity to get through them yet to give sound advice.

Hope it helps!

Secret Of mana - Great Action RPG with good music, graphics and multiplayer.Get It ,Get It, Get It.
Super Mario World - If you like platformers this is one of the best and a slice of Nintendo History.
Earthworm Jim - Not played this since i was young but from what i remember it had great graphics and sound ,some nice platforming but can be frutrating at times (but that could be my memory)
Not played the others.

What's this bit for again?

Noire

Donkey Kong Country: A gorgeous and excellent platforming game.
Secret of Mana: An okay action/RPG.
Super Mario World: The pinnacle of platforming, and one of the best games ever created.
Haven't played the others, though.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I play it with the GC controller, yeah it's uncomfortable as hell but it is playable if you can bend your index finger to the Y button. That said I am getting the classic controller ASAP. It's still one of the best platformers of all time.

Now Playing: LoZ:OoT (GC), World of Goo, Star Parodier, Little King's Story
Wanting: Metal Slug Anthology, Samurai Shodown Anthology, The Conduit, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Klonoa
Anticipating: No More Heroes 2, Tales of Symphonia 2

KoKoO_Psy

I have a CC, so no worries.

Now the list is cut down to
Donkey Kong Country
Earthworm Jim
Secret of Mana
Super Mario World

I would also like to know if DKC is worth it if i have my DKL background. In which i beat the game and so forth.

Secret of Mana is only beatable if you have friends play it with you. Otherwise, if you want to play it single-player, its difficulty is insanely hard and gets very annoying.

A very good 800 point game is Super Mario RPG, the first Video Game that my bro owned. Its probably the best game ever created, imo.

Another good one is Super Metroid, a cool platformer that I completed a few days ago. You can use missiles n guns n stuf as u kill aliens n crap.

Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World are must-downloads. 'Nuff said.

Secret of Mana:
I agree with Qwikman (on everything he said) but particularly about Secret of Mana. If you're looking to play a local multi-player RPG and don't have the cash to spend on FF: Crystal Chronicles (with all that GBA nonsense) then this is the way to go. Otherwise, I would recommend picking up FF: CC: Echoes of Time for the DS (or for the Wii, but only as a last resort). Secret of Mana may be a classic game, but the story is honestly not that in-depth, the characters are very wooden and the difficulty is extremely high from the get-go. You really need friends to make this worth while IMO.

Donkey Kong Country:
Fantastic game. Lots of secrets, lots of charm and it has a 2 player option that it very fun to use. This is my favourite of the series. I don't know a whole lot about Donkey Kong Land, but there's never anything quite like playing the original (Mario All-Stars I'm looking at you). If anything the sound and graphical quality will alter your perception of the game. If you want something truely different, then you have to go Earthworm Jim.

Earthworm Jim:
The level design is a little unorthodox, but if that doesn't turn you off, and you like quirky games then this is a good bet. Its probably in the same category of "zany" as Dynamite Heady but I think I like Jim's personality better.

Super Mario World:
I may be one of those people who contends that Mario 3 was better, but that doesn't prevent me from singing the praises of this game. I've played and finished this puppy more times than I can recall and it is always fun. However, like most games with the 2 player option, this is way more fun with a friend. Still, if you are a solo gamer you'll still enjoy it.

Yea, i know, it so happens i already have SMRPG and SM. So yea....
Secret of Mana is now stricken off the list.

I recommend Super Mario World.

I emu'd Secret of Mana a few weeks ago to see if I liked it, and at first it wasn't enjoyable at all. However, once you learn "how" to battle, it gets really fun. I didn't even know you could play it with friends, which is +1 reasons why I'll buy it (eventually).

Super Mario World is great fun. Highly recommended.

Donkey Kong Country is very good, I played it all the time on my GBA.

I don't know much about the rest. Anyway, enjoy whatever you end up buying.

Uhh, what? SMW doesn't have a 2 player option.

"Tingle is the very reincarnation of a fairy!"

@Vio: SMW doesn't have a 2-player simultaneous option, no, but it does have the same trade-off system as featured in SMB and SMB3 before it.

Donkey Kong Country: Quite different from Donkey Kong Land, but 2 & 3 are better.
Super Mario World: Far too easy, get Super Mario Bros 2 (Jap & US) or 3
Earyhworm Jim: A great game that's still unique today.
