Topic: Ok, MM froze, but it did something weird...

It froze when I was talking to an Owl Statue, after I did all the pre-Snow temple stuff. Here's the weird thing, just before that, I went back in time. So, after it froze, it should have brought me back to that time, right? Well, it didn't, and brought me back to before I ever did any Snow place stuff.

What happened?

Got to cold tromping around in all that snow, obviously.

When you go back in time, nearly everything you do is reset. You go back to day 1, remember. So if you made any "pre-dungeon preparations," you'll have to redo them. The only things that don't reset are major quest items, masks, songs you've learned, and stuff like that.

Yeah, I know that! I didn't have my Goron Mask, the song, or any of the Owl Statue locations. It took me back to a previous time before I did ANYTHING.

Sounds like the emulated version has some weird glitches as well. I played MM on the GC disc and it was full of gamebreaking stuff like this.

@Jeroen

The VC console version of MM is ALMOST as good as the original 64 version. It isn't terribly emulated like the GC version.

I re-did everything, went back in time twice (just in case) and everything's fine now, I still have the mask, item, and song. I'm gonna do the dungeon now.

I'm sorry I didn't explain what happened well enough, but thanks for the help!

I've gotten all the way to Ikana Canyon and so far I have not experianced any glitches, freezing or anything out of the ordinary. You must have done something very specific and rare for something like that to occur but I do not know what. The GCN version is crap from what I've played and this VC version is smooth, responsive and glitch or freezing free from what I can tell and I've done ALOT.

Yeah, I don't know what was up with that glitch. I'm in the water dungeon, and everything has been fine since. Even so, I go back in time twice now, just to be sure it doesn't do that again...

I was playing the GC version recently and it froze on me. I just got the Great Fairy Mask and left for Southern Swamp. I swung at a Green Chuchu in Termina Field. Just as the sword was about to hit the Chuchu, it froze.
