It's January 2011, the Holidays are over and things are back to normal (sadly). Time to revive the Legendary Master Swo... uh, I mean "No VC release this week?!" thread! (sing songy) Miserable days are here again!

What REALLY sucks is that in all those weeks of actually getting games, Mario Party 2 was the ONLY one I actually wanted to download. I was really hoping they'd also drop Faxanadu before going back to this not-releasing-games BS.

NOA didn't waste any time taking down the Christmas lights, setting the tree out to the curb for the trash men and getting back into regular form, did they? Geez, they didn't even give us any black-eyed peas for good luck. Commando and Mario Party 2 were my only downloads. Kind of thought we'd get more Capcom VCA. Nope. Back to the same old same old.

The last friday, no VC games in France either.

What about Spain? The Netherlands get anything? Did they skip Australia and New Zealand again? What about the guys in Sweden? Did they get anything? UK, Norway, Germany, Hungary?

In France, we have even VC games as English, Spain, Hungary and other European countries. But, we got not Axelay as Australian.

The VC has become a seasonal event. It'll lag for awhile until something important comes up.

Expect the following:
NES Golf- at the start of the US Open
Decap Attack- for Halloween
Donkey Kong Arcade- 400th game
Donkey Kong 64- for Christmas
F1 Race- in March, maybe?

Your honor, the witness' statement clearly contradicts the evidence. Either they're being lazy and goofing off when they should be working on giving us VC games or they're too busy doing other projects to give the attention needed to putting games on the VC.

I can't believe that Contra for the NES, Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Genesis/Megadrive and Contra: Hard Corps for the Genesis/Megadrive aren't on the Virtual Console yet.

@weirdproq: Quite a fascination with Konami you have there, eh? And when's the last time ANY Konami game released? Rondo of Blood, I'm thinking...that was AGES ago! Clearly, Konami has declined to be in the frequent releasers club for VC.

They seem to get a few games from some company's library then release all of them in a spurt, then forget about it while they look for some other company's games to release.

Can't they do more first party titles?

They got, like, 6 worthwhile games left to release. I doubt theyre in a hurry to put those out.

Mario Party
Mario Party 3
Mario Party 4
Dr. Mario
Star Fox
Yoshi's Island

They won't be releasing Mario Party 1 no matter how much we may want it.

And Mario Party 4 is on the Gamecube.

Can't we get the original Contra for crying out loud?

And if Duck Tales, Chip & Dale and Mickey Mouse's Castle of Illusion magically appeared I'd be jumping with freaky deeky joy! But those are Disney Based games, so I'm guessing it will never happen....
