@Amorous Badger: That's what I've been saying for quite awhile now. Nintendo depleted the easy major releases very quickly. It got increasingly hard afterward. That's why they re-released the C64, as an excuse to release something different.
@Rapadash: Yeah, it does seem that way. Super Smash Bros., Yoshi's Island, Super Mario Kart, and StarFox should've been released ages ago. That and the Mario Party series. There's nothing holding them back, save for perhaps the complexity of the games. SMK, however, has absolutely nothing legitimate to account for its painful delay. N64 games take quite awhile nowadays, as it seems they always have. Plus, it'll probably take quite awhile to get the Super FX games running. However, considering that they already have about twenty N64 games now, the Super FX should be cake.

Nintendo replied to me!

"We appreciate your comments concerning the recent number of Virtual Console games that have been released. Please keep in mind that there are various factors involved with releasing older game titles on the Wii’s Virtual Console. We average about 10 new Virtual Console titles per month, which means that some months will see more than 10 new releases and others less than 10 new releases. I will, however, be sure to share your feedback regarding this issue to the appropriate personnel for further review. "

I remember an old VC-R member emailing Nintendo during the disappointing summer last year, and got the same reply lol.

I guess I'll live without VC games for a month. It depends on how many WW games we're gonna get. We'll just see in later weeks if this becomes a trend. If it does, I guess it means I'm gonna have to whip out the ROMs...

But really guys, there's no sense bitching about it.

This is what I emailed to Nintendo:

Dear, Nintendo,

Why have you decided not to release any Virtual Console games today?
Some people actally buy VC games rather then WiiWare games sometimes.
I want to see more VC support, and I do not want to see this horrible VC support soon. Please, do not give me the usual email that we get 10 games per month. We now get 5 or 6 games per month. But, it appears you plan to completely pull the plug on the VC service. If you do that, I will be very angry. Also, please release Super Smash Bros. soon in America! We Americans are getting tired of playing catch-up to Europe.

SuperSonic1990

If that in bold indeed does happen, I will have no choice but to rely on Ebay for the unrelease classics such as Earthbound and Sonic & Knuckles and buy and PS3 for my main entertainment. It'll also prove that Nintendo of America, not Nintendo as a whole, has abandon the hardcore gamers (That's only NOA fault).

It's time to start an petition.

For those who want Mega Man in Super Smash Bros. 4, check out this thread:
Lots of goods things await.

Currently in construction, but there are some neat things to look at.

That would be true if the virtual console was solely intended for "hardcore" gamers.

It's not. So you're left with "Nintendo of America is abandoning everyone" and that just sounds silly.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Seriously; sometimes I wish half of the people on Nintendo Life would actually stop complaining & get a life! God knows the whole site would be better off; but what can you do about it?! Sigh! :(

I already posted about this on this week's news article, yet I will re-post here my most important point.

Remember when we posted (sometimes huge) lists of games we wanted released on Virtuaal Console as a response to that "What Nintendo games do you want release on Virtual Console?" news article? Maybe Nintendo left Virtual Console alone this week in order to straighten out these things in preparation for future Wii Shop releases. (In other words, the lack of Virtual Console releases this week could be a sign that that news article with all of our request lists actually worked or at least fulfilled its mission.)

@KnucklesSonic8: Like I said, call them out on the incorrect info in the e-mail they sent you. There's no excuse for having your info that out of date when you're supposed to be a professional company.

@AlexSays: Unfortunately, as near as I can tell, there aren't all THAT many non-core-gamer's interested in the VC (deduced from conversations with customers), so Nintendo really is disappointing us more than anybody else by not releasing a VC game. It doesn't help that the percentage of Wii's that have ever accessed the Shop Channel is doubtlessly pathetically low (again, deduced from my conversations with customers and friends, very few of whom have ever even HEARD of the Shop Channel/VC/WiiWare until I tell them, even if they've had a Wii for months). I still say that's Nintendo's fault for doing a bad job advertising it.

@MarkyVigoroth: I don't see how it makes sense to say that we got NO games because Nintendo decided to listen to our pleas for MORE games. :P
Besides which, I'm not 100% sure if that's been sent out yet. Could an Administrator please shed some light on this situation?

Stuffgamer1-san, there were TONS of games suggested in those comments, so I would not be surprised if whomever was involved in the Virtual Console releases felt overwhelmed and wanted a small pause in Virtual Console releases in order to sort out things (especially if only one person was involved, as some forum members spectulate).

Yeah, hopefully they release them all by most requested, and by two a week.

So next week we could expect EarthBound and Yoshi's Island. :-D

Maybe. You never know.

@MarkyVigoroth: MAYBE, but I sincerely doubt it. We've been asking for these games for almost three years...do you REALLY think they'd choose to listen only NOW?

Good suggestion, I'll probably get it, but when I get it depends on if they have abandon Virtual Console support.

Excuse me? You always complain in ALL CAPS yet you tell people to stop complaining. Quit being a hypocrite. But I did notice you didn't use CAPS this time.
