I was wondering the samething, don't tell me they are dwindling it down from 1 a week to 2 every other week or something wtf. Nintendo apparently doesn't like money.
"Nintendo apparently doesn't like money"? Pure craziness. Apparently WiiWare earns them more money, so unfortunately, this probably is a business decision. The trend has consistently been more and more WiiWare games as VC games dwindled in number, and the DSi doesn't have a VC at all. None of this seems like an accident to me. It's a pretty obvious and unfortunate pattern.
I agree Adam, what's interesting is that I assume porting over a VC game is way cheaper than creating more WiiWare content. I would assume Nintendo has a plan, especially with no DSi VC games, it just seems like they could do more to support this great idea.
The idea that WiiWare makes more money than VC is enough to make a classic gamer weep. Even so, it shouldn't cost all THAT much to put a single VC game up in a mild attempt to not piss us off TOO much! As it stands, this is just a pathetic release, and I am NOT amused.
I don't buy into that "it's because we got two games last week" BS. Two imports last week should NOT prevent us getting a game THIS week! It sure didn't a few months ago at our last import week!
How did we go from Nintendo being pleasently surprised with the popularity of the VC to this anyway? Well, they're probably losing sales as people stop visiting due to the rarity of GOOD releases! It's like Nintendo planned to flush the service down the toilet from day one! Or they just have a knack for it.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Strider, Nintendo hardly contributes to WiiWare. It's not a matter of one being cheaper than the other. WiiWare is dominated by third-party games that cost Nintendo no more than porting over their own games. So if one sells better than the other, it is logical to favor it in the release schedule, as much as you and I might hate it.
Hopefully it is just a matter of their having released two games last week, though it could well be that they released two games last week in order to prepare us for this week rather than vice versa. Who knows. Pointless to jump to conclusions just yet, but it'll be sad if this turns into a trend.
I think I will send them a not so nice email...NOW!! You guys should join my Does Ninteno plan to completely stop releasing VC games in the future? topic, and join the rant!
Unless it becomes a trend this isn't that big of a deal.
And even then it wouldn't be a big deal to me, because there's only one or two VC games I'd even care to download.
@AlexSays-But, I am afraid this MIGHT become a trend. What if NOA is planning to alternate VC games on certain weeks like NOE used to do? What one or two VC games do you care to download? P.S. Check your Playstation 3 out...
