Ima just wondering if there's a way to PERMANENTLY save the game without having to start the 3 day cycle over again. (That's the only thing that's holding Majora's Mask from being as good as Ocarina, IMO.)

You ask for me?

The answer: no, there isn't any other way to save permanently. And I love this. Without time factor, Majora's Mask wasn't perfect.

It depends on what you mean by "permanent." If you use an owl, that save data is not just going to disappear before you can come back and pick it up again another day. It would only be an issue if you want to load your saved game and then quit before you either reach another owl or play the song of time.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

OK thnx ppl.
I'm getting the hang of MM finally, and just finished the first temple. Don't think I'll need much help from now on.

You can copy your owl save, then re-use it if need be.

I guess so. Thnx. Sux that there's only 2 files rather than 3 like most other Zelda games.

OK I've got another question. Once you defeat a boss and get heir remains, do you have to beat them again on a different cycle?

To get their remains, no. But to have whatever changes in the world happen (eg, the water clearing up after beating the first temple, or defrosting the Goron Village) you have to beat the boss again. But once you have the remains, when you enter the temple again you can warp right to the boss fight.

(EDIT: When you get the boss remains, they stay with you when you go back to the first day.)

Oh, and if you haven't realized yet, the Inverted Song of Time is your friend!

Ja. the game is pretty much impossible without it. For me that is.

Oh, for pretty much everyone, as I understand it. That song's a MUST!

When going for 100% completion as soon as it's possible, fighting Ghot gets very old. You have to do it at LEAST twice because of the Gilded Sword, and I think there was something else that can make you need a third pass.

My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
