Ok, I thinking about getting a SNES vc game. But Im only getting one. Should I get The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past or Super Mario World. I cannot choose.

I have such a hard time choosing between these two,but I do play Super Mario World a little more so I guess SMW.

Erm.... you need both really.

What you need to ask is... 'am I after an epic quest of joy, or platforming heaven?'

If you have a friend or family member who likes to take turns playing a game, you can do no wrong with Mario World. If you want something to get absorbed in by yourself, get Link to the Past. Mario World is a blast whether one player or two, but it shines brightest with a friend. Other than that, it's hard to compare the two because they're both brilliant, very different, and you should get both eventually.

Yeah, both are necessary purchases, but if you only get one, you have to decide between genres. Do you want one of the best, most fun, most replayable platformers of all time, or do you want a big, fun adventure of exploration and dungeon crawling?

Between the two I think Zelda is the better game, but they're both darn good and, as others have said, you can't really compare them directly.

I'd have to say link to the past.

You shouldn't have done that.

Excuuuuse me, JTC.

I totally got it. And it made me smile.

And I agree on LttP. SMW is fun and all, but I always enjoyed LttP more.

Link's catch phrase from the cartoon? That picture is from the cartoon, right?

It's from the much dreaded CDi games. Google image Zelda CDi and have yourself some nightmares.

Ah, no wonder he was confused. Sorry, JTC!
The cartoon and CDi games both look pretty awful, so it's no wonder I mixed them up. :D

I'd go with Super Mario World. I find Mario games are much more re-playable than Zelda games in general. I've been playing SMW for like 15 years now and I still enjoy it as much as I ever did. Don't get me wrong, Link To The Past is a great game as well; a very memorable game, but a game I could play all the time/anytime.

A Link to the Past for me.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
