It's been rated by the ESRB, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were to be released in at least the next 3 weeks.

I didn't really like SimEarth, but I'll be happy to reappraise it. I loved SimAnt, though...

Cool. I would maybe have been interested in the PC Engine one, but too many options and too much Japanese text made me afraid to drop the points. A friend had it for the Mac in university and played it obsessively. You choose your species and then try to build them up to the point where they launch a mission to colonise Mars I think (or is that Sim Life?).

Could be a nice time sink!

I had Sim Life, but I never colonized Mars. Maybe that's because it was really confusing and I didn't know what I was doing.
Sim Earth was okay, but not really exciting. Sim Ant ruled. What a cool game concept.

SimEarth is coming to the American Virtual Console? Finally a EA game on the Virtual Console! Also, this will continue support for the TurboGrafx-16.

It's being published by Hudson. Anyway, I'll probably get this if it's priced right. I've never tried this. Maybe it was a good thing to hold off on SimCity.
