I think people having even a little business knowledge would help a great deal in understanding Nintendo's decisions. Number 1: Japan's Wii sales have been sluggish compared ot other areas. The release of colored Wii's and VC games are a small effort on their part to boost sales. That tactic isn't needed here based on system sales.

2. WiiWare will see tremendous sales for huge games. What came out this week? A HUGE WiiWare game. Neither Square nor Nintendo want the gamers dollar stretched between WiiWare and VC so they essentially made the decision for you...focus on WiiWare. Someone else made a great point that they do have a focus on WiiWare which is a huge plus to me. A dollar can only stretch so far.

Nintendo is supporting the VC just fine. It's just a matter of business and peopel need to understand that. I for one don't have 30-40 bucks per week to spend on VC and WiiWare and if I only need to spend 15 a week on WiiWare and then 10 in two weeks on VC...bonus! Get a hold or yourselves. Plus, as I will state until I'm blue in the face, I know not one of you with the exception of reviewers, have purchased and played EVERY VC game released.

Anyways, back on topic. One gem I got was Kirby's Adventure. I was 13 when it first came out and was a complete rube in thinking that it was a kiddy game. I had moved on to the more 'mature' games at that age and was knee deep in Street Fighter 2 and completely wrote it off, but I did purchase it on the VC. Wow...what a game. I was extremely impressed with it and only wish I had realized that when I was younger.

I'm happy with the service, but still. If Japan can release that many games in a month, we should at least be able to get half that amount. Which means something unusual is happening...

Also, @SSBF99: Going down in quantity is one thing, but quality? LOL

When I meant it was going down in quality, I meant it. It actually has done that.

To the majority of people in this thread it hasn't.

It's not necessary to go into lengthy attacks on the poster, ta.

I couldn't disagree more. The quality of releases seems to be improving if anything! PAL territories are getting two new Hanabi titles tomorrow: Detana Twinbee and Kirby's Dreamland 3 -- I may not have any feeling for these games, but I certainly wouldn't write them off as being lower quality than what's come before.

Obviously Japan continues to have VCA releases every week which I'm buying. Great stuff!

I can play Sin & Punishment with my Wavebird then move onto Zelda or Mario64, and finish with a little wii-mote sideways Pacman, without moving off the couch, not once! The Virtual Console rocks, I hope & think it'll be around for quite some time.

Praise be to the VC <3 thread.

I love the VC too. It's just that Nintendo's being really slow about the release rate each Monday.
