I'll still get when it arrives on the US VC with or without online play. But online play would be icing on the cake

Which differences are in this game compared with the SNES version? besides the online stuff, i mean control, sound, graphics, options, screen, etc.

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.

You have to be kidding me? right?
The Genesis Street Figther was the worst, I have no idea why you want to play it.
Do yourse;f a favor, and don't, your better off getting MK for the Genesis, atless it has blood.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

MK on any system is just plain terrible. Get Street Fighter

Lots of censorship here...

im not going to mention why a lot of fighting games rolled smoother on the genesis, especially when i know some of you already know why that is.
snes had a lot of rpgs, there not running as fast as lets say, the Streets Of Rage series or MK2
but i love all the systems

But why is a bad version? I want to know the differences. I owned the snes version when i was kid and the online genesis version sounds interesting for me.

@DarkEdi Some differences include: fewer frames of animation, more washed-out colour palette and lower quality sound. In its original 16-bit format of course it was hindered by the standard MD pad only having three buttons so you had to either buy a six-button pad or push Start to switch between punches and kicks!

Online play is an awesome addition but Super Street Fighter II with three buttons? No thanks, I will take my Super on the Super.

To blessed to be stressed.

don't see how it'd be 3 buttons on wii VC since it had a 6 button option on the original as long as you have a classic controller 6 button game should be fine.

Good to know! I'm no Genesis guru. Other than some "S" Genesis games (Sonic, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Strider) I avoided the black machine as a kid like it was Darth Vader. Doesn't surprise me that Sega released a 6-button controller though. That thing had more redesigns and attachments and could represent everyone in the Empire!

Eh, Darth Vader's cool.

Unless you're Luke.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Han actually. You know, sometimes I amaze even myself.

So, for those who have played both, how was the sound on the Genesis version compared to the SNES?

Actually the Megadrive version has significantly more frames of animation and more background details. Oooh it's like a 1993 playground war.
