Basically, games you'd like that won't come due to licensing issues, etc.

NES
Tiny Toons- copyrighted by WB
Micro Machines- the toyline is defunct

SNES
Biker Mice- the show was canceled years ago, and the revival went almost unnoticed
The Tick- canceled years ago
Animaniacs- canceled years ago

GENESIS
Tecmo Super Hockey- like an NHL game will come any time soon
Tale Spin- Disney

N64
Micro Machines- defunct

ARCADE
Tekken- might be too complex for the VC
Area 51- unless they somehow replicate the Zapper's controls

Yoshi´s Island

N64
Conker's Bad Fur Day

Hmm, I will think a little bit more...

@Earendel68: Ah, Spot...a little-known classic (vastly overshadowed by the 16-bit platformer, Cool Spot).

I disagree that Yoshi's Island isn't coming, though; Corbie pretty much said it is, but they're taking their time. Should be out this year though, as I understand it.

My list includes anything Enix, 'cause Squenix seems (rightly) pissed at Nintendo right now, and they haven't exactly been in a rush to release those titles when there's plenty of Square stuff anyway. Soul Blazer, I mourn your stillborn death!

Also Earthbound, just 'cause NOA's full of ignorant jerks (watch just one hour of TV or listen to some popular music and tell me that pop culture references and "music sampling" are legitimate reasons to not release something).

Any number of classic games from companies that simply aren't supporting the VC AT ALL, including EA, Activision (they put out one game and promptly gave up), Tengen, and more.

My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

Aquiring licenses aside, I don't think that they should not release a VC game just because its based on a long-forgotten cartoon or movie. SNES Tiny Toons is a great game and you don't need to know the characters or its origins to be able to enjoy it. The fact that its a bright, colorful, cartoony game with a good reputation should be enough for it to do well.

Tiny Toons or DoReMi Fantasy, I don't think kids are going to care much which one is based on an old cartoon and which isn't, as long as it looks fun and is fun to play.

...Tengen used to release games unofficially. I don't think they ever released an official Nintendo Approved game There's no chance of their games appearing on the VC.

Most of the games I want on vc are unlikely to be released on it.
NES:
Mother

Snes:
Earthbound

N64:
Conker's bad fur day
Donkey kong 64
Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Tooie
Jet force jemini
Perfect dark
Rayman 2: the great escape- This is unlikely beacauseubisoft don't support the vc.

The only games I really want on vc that are likely are mario party 1-3.

Basically any game. VC is on life support right now, Nintendo might as well pull the plug. I had fun while it lasted though.

I disagree. The VC, like my love for it, will go on forever more. Just not as intense or as dedicated as it used to be.

I wouldn't say that any game will never come to the VC. We don't have much in the way of licenced games on there now, that's true, but this type of download service is still quite young and who knows what we'll see in the future.

I have to say I used to think I'd NEVER be able to see some of the TV shows I used to love as a child again. I remember reading on the internet in the early 2000s that there's not even any hope of seeing some of them on DVD because of licencing issues, the originals had been lost and deleted and all that was left were degraded vhs copies taped from TV. What happened? They release some fantastic high quality box sets with way better quality picutre than anyone remembers - basically all I'm saying is don't write anything off or listen to people on the internet who claim that because it hasn't happened yet, it'll never happen.

They released 3 games officially (Pac-Man, Gauntlet 1, and RBI Baseball 1). However, their license was revoked after they sued each other (Nintendo for Tetris, Tengen/Atari Games for some patent violation). Tengen re-released the games in unlicensed form and Nintendo de-listed them from their database of licensed games (which used to be posted on their site).
Their license was re-instated midway through the SNES life, but they were bought out by Warner Bros. and then Midway soon after.

@brooks83 honestly, any thread like this and you're a killjoy, seriously, lighten up. Japan still gets an average of 4-5 games per month, and while the rate has slowed, we still GET games, so seriously, lighten up, please. Or at least just stop posting in threads like this.

@Stuffgamer1 Don't blame NOA, since none of the Mother games are out on the Japanese VC either.

This list mainly concerns games that won't be put on NA or PAL systems. I speak Japanese, but importing a Wii or other systems is so much work everytime i want to play a game. Also, i have all the Mother games for the GBA, so i never worry about those.

NES:Willow, Final Fantasy III (for non-japanese VC)

SNES: Lost Vikings, Fire Emblem (any of the 3 SNES ones, since the first 5 games are all out on the VC in Japan), Tiny Toon adventures, Star Fox or Yoshi's Island (if possible), Momotaro Dentetsu DX

3DS FC - 1547-6126-3842 Largate de mi casa!!
