A big hello to everyone here, as basically I've registered a few minutes ago. But hey, this site and forum is so full of passionate (Nintendo) people that I sense this is the most proper place where I can ask:

when will they ever release on the Wii Virtual Console the following titles?

  • Super Mario World 2. Yoshi's Island
  • Soul Blazer
  • Illusion of Gaia / Time
  • Terranigma (!!!!)

I don't think they could ever think there is no demand for these epic titles...

Stefano

I can't speak for the rest of them, but I can say the same for Yoshi's Island. Love that game. Not sure why you never hear of it though when it comes to the Wii VC. Glad I got the GBA version at least through the Ambassador program for the 3DS.

Ah! didn't know it's already available (at least only for Ambassadors for now...) on the 3DS VC... mmm, I think I'd better take back an old SNES on eBay and some loose carts...

Er, have you been living under a rock? People have been literally screaming for that game to come out since VC's inception. It was on a ton of most-wanted charts on sites, too. I'm really surprised Nintendo didn't make releasing that game a top priority. Oh well, at least it was an ambassador game. The Quintet Trilogy, though, really needs to get rereleased one way or the other. They're all great games that didn't quite get the attention they deserved back when they were released.

No actually.
It's just not one I see as much of as I'd expect I would.

I honestly prefer playing this kind of games on a real tv screen instead of doing it on the little 3DS. I finally managed to gain the classic SNES controller with my Club Nintendo Points... that's be great to re-play them this way...
And YES, the Quintet Trilogy, especially the last two episodes, are true action-rpg classics. So sad they were so underrated...

A lot of demand bottomed out when it was confirmed as an Ambassador game. But for the longest time, people had been asking for it, even after long VC was considered dead. Trust me, there's plenty of demand out there for it.

EDIT:

As for when they'll be released, it seems Nintendo has stopped supporting VC entirely, so we may never see Yoshi's island, unless they're just saving their remaining games for something special. S-E still supports VC, though, albeit slowly. We'll have to wait until after they release the Dragon Quest games at least before we get the Quintet games, and they just released a collection last year...

Not that I care, but you forgot StarFox.
And it looks like I'll have to score a Yoshi's Island Cart among many other SNES games like Demon's Quest to get my fix. B-)

Well, they also forgot Mother2 / Earthbound... I will also NEVER forgive them the choice to release the Mother 1+2 GBA cart only for the japanese market, totally ignoring the rest of the world... so sad....

Yoshi's Island is amazing. It's probably one of the best games ever made. It's that good.

There's a real reason for why Yoshi's Island and Sar Fox not being released on the Wii's VC. It has trouble emulating the games due to the Super Chip or whatever its called.

The GBA port of Yoshi's Island is the exact same game.

Nu-uh, it's got no Touch Fuzzy Get Dizzy! That makes all the difference!:P And Believe me, I know people who refuse to play the GBA version because it lacks this feature. Nevermind that it has 8 Bonus levels.
