I just wondered what everyones favourite N64 Zelda was because I was quite surprised by the amount of people who have said in this and other forums that they prefer Majora's Mask over Ocarina of Time. I always found Ocarina of Time to be far more superior, even though Majora's Mask is still a great game.
I recently bought both of these games on the Virtual Console due to my N64 breaking as I had both the games years ago. And for some reason I now find Majora's Mask to be the better game and I really can't understand why, maybe because the plot is more darker and due to getting older from when I last played the games it appeals to me more than Ocarina of Time did.
So I'm curious which N64 Zelda is your favourite and why?
@VGP Thats what I am thinking now though. Since playing Majora's Mask I find it more fun and superior to Ocarina of Time but I can't actully understand why.

I'm going to be the odd man out and say that Ocarina of Time is my favorite N64 Zelda, favorite Zelda game, and just favorite game of all time. I've tried so very many times to play through Majora's Mask and I just finally got through it, and it was quite difficult for me. Beating it was a test of my will. It was never like that for Ocarina. I wanted to play that game all the time. It just feels so sublime and near-perfect to me.

OOT was a great game, id have to say i peferred the bosses in OOT over Majora's Mask but it's a Hard choice. i'd have to go with Majora's Mask. Mainly because its just so different compared the other games in the series and the fact that there was so much more to collect. it kept me playing for over 60 hours.

Have you tried to beat the last boss with 3 hearts and no upgrades and without the fierce diety mask? I think it is the hardest boss in the game if you're doing it like that.

lol ya that was hard but i was only talking about my first time cuz i got the firce deity mask and had 11 hearts i found it to be very easy lol guess i should hav included that part
Majora's Mask for the following reasons: -darker storyline -lots more unique characters -the dungeons are more challenging and brilliantly designed -I love the time loop
I think the reason people choose MM over Oot (like me) now is because it has aged really well, because of the deeper storyline and more detailed overworld.

@Nintendork: there's a time limit? That might be a deal-breaker for me, I cannot stand time limits in games.
If you play the song of time backwards you will barley notice it, and a full three days is like 3 hours, some guy beat all the dungeons in the 3 day time limit, and had a day left! all i am saying is not to let the time limit thriw you off, if you play it you will not notice it. so just try it.
