And I really, REALLY hate saying that about him, seeing how much I love him and his work. But if he thinks that a change is going to ruin a game, then he is wrong. The only change that could ruin the game is if the Giygas fight was removed or something.

There's practically no chance of this game ever being released on any VC, and the game is so rare that it costs hundreds of dollars to buy. At this point using magic to preserve a game against the test of time is what's necessary, and if you still think it's unethical - then that's really your loss.

Not quite. I was lucky enough to buy a boxed and Sealed copy of Mother 1 + 2 For $30 in 2009. I think it is still common in the terms of the Super famicom and GBA ports, but for the SNES game it's horribly rare.

It's not affiliated, but if that's where we learned of the legal issue problem in the first place, surely we can give a little trust in them.

Nintendo Life has a source that sometimes reveals download info (Like today), and Earthbound central was The very same site that let everyone know of potential legal issues in the first place. So if you believe that EB has legal issues, then it would be likely that you would trust this, yes?

That doesn't mean people shouldn't send postcards to NCL right now, maybe we wait and see what happens one day. I still believe that EB will come to VC, considering that it honestly doesn't have much legal issues in the first place. (The beatles references were fair use or parody, compared to the Hippie and Sky runner songs sounding like the original)

It honestly isn't about whether the legal issues are strong or valid cases (which, honestly, they are). The amount of money that needs to be spent to defeat even a frivolous legal challenge when it comes to corporate copyright law is extrvagant.

Face facts. It's not going to happen. The sooner people accept that, the happier all will be.
