Data East is a company that has seemingly disappeared and never supported the VC. What Data East games would you like to see and what games do you not want to see?

For me I would love to try the Street Fighter rip-off called Fighters History for SNES or VCA. I also enjoyed Bad Dudes in the arcade. However I truly dislike Karnov for the NES.

What are your picks?

Did Data East make Ring King and Karate Champ?

Data East is no longer around and other companies like G-Mode (responsible for the only Data East game on VC released outside of Japan) have taken up to publishing them.

Yes they did. They did quite a few NES games. I don't know if people remember them though.

Burger time and Bump and Jump were great! Both had pretty good NES ports as well.
Anyone remember Break Thru?

Hey you guys forgot another great Data east game. Werewolf: the last warrior on NES. I loved that game! Played the heck out of it but never managed to beat it. I really would like to see it come to VC.

I think Lock 'N' Chase was anotherData East game that I would love to see released in the Virtual Arcade version. I wasteda TON of quarters playing that one in the local arcade back in the day.

I personally never thought of DataEast as anything more as an average developer. I was present during the whole Fighter's History legal battle during the mid nineties and I suppose as a Street Fighter fan, the negative press DataEast got back then has kinda turned me against them.

But even so, there just doesn't seem to be any game they made that I'm a fan of.

There are technically 3 Data East games on the VC now, courtesy of G-Mode. We have Bloody Wolf, Drop Off, and Silent Debuggers. G-Mode owns almost the entire Data East catalog now, and they haven't supported the VC since 2007, so I think the odds of them releasing any more Data East games are rare.

However, if they do start supporting it again, I would love it if they released the Joe and Mac games. Those were some of my favorite games from the SNES. Also, Caveman Games for the NES would be great too.

Lets send the link above to Nintendo. If they support Data East games it will help beef up the VCA selection. Besides I could go for a few rounds of Bad Dudes

Yep, Joe and Mac on SNES is a classic, luckily I still have the original cart. Joe and Mac 2 is just as good, if not better.

Hmm, I'm pretty confident that G-Mode might start supporting the VC again. Magical Drop II & III would be nice to see on the VC as well as Fighter's History Dynamite.
