List the Castlevania games on the VC from hardest to easiest. I'm particularly interested in Rondo of Blood compared to Castlevania and Super Castlevania 4.
Castlevania III was ruthless. Some bosses had three very tough forms and you always had to start from the beginning of the stage if you got the game over, even if had been a pain in the butt to get to the boss. Still, I conquered it in the end !
Castlevania II with a walkthrough was definitely the easiest. I never even attempted to clear the whole game without one, haven't got enough patience for that. Still, even with all its flaws, it's an oddly satisfying experience...

Castlevania III is more difficult than the rest of them put together... Castlevania has some brutality in it. Rondo of Blood gets tough near the end. Super Castlevania IV isn't too difficult until the end. Castlevania II has stupid progression, and would benefit the most by being redone...
Forget CII, it's not even a traditional Castlevania experience and the difficulty doesn't come from any of the actual Castles/Dungeons, it's the bogusness and complete randomness of it all that will get you stumped.
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse has got to be the toughest of them all.
