I've just finished stages 10-12 on Castlevania (VC version). I noticed a lot of bugs and glitches. For example I could get weapons (the whip and the other weapons) directly from enemies. I could get weapons (like the axe) from candles but only occasionally and some weapons that were supposed to be on certain candles (like the holy water in stage 10) would just not be there. I even got that III-stone thing from a candle (only onec though).

Is this something that would happen on the original cart or is it something that is happening to the VC version only? Or is there something wrong with my copy of the game (do I have to redownload it?)

Umm, unless i'm totally not understanding what you're saying, those aren't glitches. That's the way the game works.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.
Lindsey Stirling is as awesome as She-Ra. Perhaps even more so.

That's my thought too, but since it hasn't happened on the other stages I was a little concerned. In earlier stages I never got the whip from a bat for example. But I guess the randomness of items can increase in some levels.

You can get the whip upgrades from both enemies or candles. The game tries to give you the upgrade right away.

The sub weapons should always be in the same candle.

As for triple-shot, which I am assuming that is what you mean when you said "III- stone," appears after you have hit something with your sub weapon like 10 times after you have double-shot.

@Ryno - Thanks for the answer! The thing is that the sub weapons doesn't always show up in the same candle. This has happened several times. They can instead show up when killing enemies. The sub weapon is replaced with a money bag at the candle where it should have been.

@Jon: Hmmm... I cannot remember if that really happens on my original Castlevania cartridge. I expect certain weapons to be at places so I don't really remember that happening. The only time I get a money bag instead of the sub weapon from the candle is when I already have it.
