It was never released on the N64. It was FOR the N64 but it was never released for the N64. Anywhere. First time it ever came out was for GC.
yeah, I know now. I looked it up. But I could have sworn when the GCN version came out, I heard it had already been released on N64 in Japan...
Probably because it was supposed to at one point but no, even Japan was new to Master Quest when it came out on GC. In fact if I remember right it was supposed to be for the N64DD.
