I gave in. Tonight I made my first ever Wii VC purchase. I've been holding out for Nintendo to get around to releasing my fav Square RPGs on the Wii U but I can't take it anymore. Purchasing 3000 points I picked up Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy III, and because i had s few points left over Bomberman 93.
I thought I could hold out. And with SM RPG recently being released in JP on the Wii U I figured it was only a matter of time.
On the bright side if they ever do come out for the Wii U, the porting fee is minimal.
Ya I think you are correct in your feeling that at this point in Wii U's rocky career if Square hasn't shown hide nor hair yet, they likely aren't going to be making a splash on the Wii U VC.
