Nostalgia, it can be cruel. So after ages of fond memories you start a game, only to find it archaic and clunky. Or maybe youve never played it, just think its good, and it has exactly the same problems. This forum is about those games.

Pokemon Red/Blue. As much fun as they were (and still are) it's pretty painful to play them nowadays.

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Just a personal thing, but when I was younger I didn't know any better and bought lots of licensed games which I'm now mostly embarrassed to even own

I know what you mean. They seemed good at the time, but later, not so much.

Most N64/PS1 games I didn't play at the time sort of are hard to go back to. As are most pre-NES console games.
But to choose one game, probably Mario Kart 64.
