Topic: Adventures of Lolo 3 on VC...ever?

Does anybody know why Adventures of Lolo 3 STILL hasn't released on VC even though the first two have been available for over a year? As far as I know, it was a HAL game same as the first two, and there's no real reason why it isn't available by now.

There's no real reason why a lot of non licensed games have yet to appear on the Virtual Console other than they have to wait their turn to be released.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Stuffgamer1

Sure, that's the immediately obvious answer. The question seems more valid when you consider the release dates of the first two, imo.

Adventures of Lolo 2: US 21 Jan 08 EU 01 Feb 08

Even by VC standards, that seems like quite a while. It's been months since we had ANY NES games release, hasn't it? So why not this one? It just seems to me like there should be more reason that what you said, Bass X0.

Eh, both were almost a year apart, and it has been only a bit more than a year since the last one. The timing seems appropriate to me. If we don't see it by the end of the year, that might be odd, but no cause for alarm yet.

"Almost a year apart"? How is the time between August and January "Almost a year?" It's actually only about 5 1/2 months between the first two out west, and about 8 months in Europe. Not "almost a year" by any means.

I'm sure a certain junior kong can help you in that department.

But on topic, I hope it comes soon. I like to see series completed on the Virtual Console where possible.

Especially when the one that's missing is also the best in the series.

I wonder how they decide when to release games, sometimes I think they just throw darts and whatever they hit gets released.

Ive been patiently waiting for this game for ages. The first two are good, and apparently the 3rd is the best!

@Fuzzy: Yes, it is. Can you say: World map? Boss fights? Awesomeness!

I don't know,Nintendo hates 3rd party games on VC for some reason.

Well i hope they are better than the boss fight in the 2nd game!

Fuzzy, Backloggery.

Stuffgamer1

@SuperSonic1990: But Lolo is from HAL, a second-party developer...(better known for Kirby and Smash Bros.)

@Fuzzy: There's a boss fight in Lolo 2? I know nothing of this. Truth be told, I've only ever beaten Lolo 1.

And after Lolo 3 gets released, I'd like them to do a modern "Adventures of Lolo 4" for WiiWare.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

It's taken so long for Lolo 3 already that I'm really hoping this is the only reason Nintendo's still delaying it: another Metroid -> Super Metroid -> Metroid Prime 3 kind of promotional strategy (or Super Mario Bros. 3 -> Super Mario Galaxy, or the Mega Man runin North America). Even though I love Kirby more, I really want and would probably enjoy a new Lolo.

And if it ever happened I would want it to be actually numbered 'Adventures of Lolo 4', not make it sound like a spin-off with a name like "Adventures of Lolo: Rebirth" or "Adventures of Lolo Wii" as has been the case with other WiiWare sequels/remakes/spin-offs to existing series.

What does their hatred of 3rd party games on VC have anything to do with LoLo 3? Lolo 3 wasa ctually by HAL which is now a 2nd party to Nintendo.

Also, why do you think that Ninty hates 3rd party games? If they did hate 3rd party support on VC, there wouldn't be any Genesis, TG-16, C64, SMS, or Neo Geo games on VC.

Stuffgamer1

Nintendo doesn't outright HATE 3rd party support, they just can't figure out how to not piss the 3rd party people off with stupid business practices.

I would also like Adventures of Lolo 4, but one thing at a time, I say.
