I'm not a hardcore gamer then, I'm just a gamer. Oh crap, almost blew my cover, SHUN THE NON-BELIEVER!

When did games become so pretentious? Probably when Miyamoto got locked up for concepts.

I honestly agree. 9 systems (VCA 1 of them) & 1 game weeks will never mix. At this rate, it's going to take 10-13 years before the VC gets KOF 2003 for the Neo Geo & 5-7 years from now until the VC gets the Last Blade, 2 games I want to get on the VC.

I agree there needs to be more vc games, and as often as I remember I say as such via the everybody votes channel submission

Majora Mask relase wasn't enough for me to prevent me from caving in and getting Earthbound illegally (Through ROMs). That's bad enough for me, I don't want to have to do this on other games I really want. I'm still a desperate supporter of the Virtual Console, it's my only legal way to experience the classic games.

Honestly, never use drugs...If you are that hard up for classic gaming, hit eBay...You sound like a junkie..."I gotsta have it!!....(shakes)...If N-dogg don't lay no mo VC down.....(shutters).....I may end up going to a ROM site and play'n da emulator!......(shakes)......" All as you bend the spoon, and melt down a PCB from a GBA with your pocket lighter....

Can you honestly tell me what mindset you keep? Are you so desperate to play vintage console titles that you resort to outlandish statements? Do you really feel that you are cheated somehow? Do you honestly believe that the corporation of Nintendo in its entirety has a plan to cheat their customer base? It seems as message boards and news sites involving Nintendo and gaming in general seem to have an I.Q. drop as time progresses. That is, in my opinion. Please use the grey matter between your ears prior to spouting irrelevant garbage.

I would use EBay, but I have no idea how to pay online, if it has to do with that, then that's not going to work. Beside, I rather wait for the game to release on the Virtual Console.

The reason why I use ROMs for several games is because I've waited for so long for these games. I don't download ROMs of games I want to see on the Virtual Console every week. In fact, I'm a patience. What I cannot stand is one-game week, that is the reason why I'm complaining so much.

Here's my respone to your question:
#1: Yes, I can be that desperate to play classic games. Because I care about the Virtual Console I want to see it in full potential. But the licensing issues are keeping it from reaching it's full potential. If I didn't care about the Virtual Console, I might not even own a Wii anymore, let alone defend it.

#2: No, I do not feel that I'm being cheated at all.

#3: No, absolutely not.

OK I want to play games like SSB64, SMK, Yoshi's Island, Sonic & Knuckles, and Earthbound too. But I'm not going to download an emulator and roms just to play them. I'm going to wait like everyone else. I suggest you do the same Smash Bros Fan.

Let me say that despite my comment seeming to be "a burn" I do appreciate the enthusiasm you have for the VC and I don't have a problem with you starting multiple threads per day -- really it's that kind of active posting that makes the Nintendo Life forums so vibrant!

I'll also defend your use of emulators to play games that aren't currently available; I choose not to do it because I find it too much of a hassle and frankly I've got too many VC titles, WiiWare titles and disc games on the go, so I don't really have the time to mess about with that. I do hope you'll step-up and buy games on the VC you've been waiting for, however much you're disappointed with the release timetable for the service.

Thanks. However, when a game I want such as Earthbound or Sonic CD comes to the Virtual Console, not only will I buy the game, I will also get rid of the emulator. The only reason why I download emulators is to hold me over until the game gets released on the Virtual Console. Then, even when I don't instantly buy it, I get rid of the emulators that I currently have. Makes sense?

I used to use emulators on the computer alot. But ever since the VC I don't need to use them except for games like Sonic CD or fan hacks.

I can dig it and I feel the same. I've got emulators for Atari 2600 and 5200 as well as MAME for old arcade games; I still buy stuff like Namco Museum Remix and VCA titles. The reality is that some things just don't work too great in emulators. Assault in MAME has never felt right using my playstation dual analogue pad; Assault on the VCA is tight because of the focus on bringing it to the Wii for use with the Classic Controller or Gamecube Controller. There's just so much on the VC and WiiWare outside of my disc games that I just don't fire up the emulators any more, though!

Sigh. No VC game today.

The perceived lack of update on the Wii Shop seems to be a continual point of contention for a lot of people and I would like to make the following points.
a) The Wii Shop has a lot more games available (over four hundred by my reckoning) than the Xbox Live Arcade or Playstation Network stores and possibly even more than both combined.
b) Every few days there seems to be somebody moaning that the game they want to download (usually Smash Bros or Mario Kart) hasn't been released yet, I really want to play Bit Trip Core but I know that if I have to wait a few weeks it won't kill me.
c) I think it's fairly safe to say that the people complaining the loudest are the younger members, has no-one ever told you that patience is a virtue?

I don't see what is the big deal. Majority of the VC releases suck. The only ones worth getting are imports, or N64 games that you haven't played. The rest can be easily found on an emulator.

@starcross64, Very true, but some of us like the legal way of obtaining games. I do since my experience with emulators. I wanted to play doom but I couldnt find it so I got it on an emulator. Turns out "doom" was a virus and it nearly killed my computer. Since then I only buy official stuff. I just think it is safer, but that is just me

Wii : 5234 3442 0233 5325
3DS: 2664-2106-1671
I have A LOT of games, if you want to play something, just email me jangonov&#...

Hmm, sure was some 'doom'.

I've only used ZSNES, and that worked fine for me. But it has since been deleted due to lack of play. Though it boggles why people pony up 5 bucks for a NES game. Sure, it's not much, but you can play it safe and free on Virtualnes.com. If it wasn't for that site, I never would have known why Megaman was awesome.

I'd rather not use an emulator on my computer. I know the VC uses emulators but I'd be better off using the VC.
