I have this feeling we may also get the tournament editon of clayfighter in the future. That version was only released on the SNES.

Hmmm, interesting list; how has this stuff been vetted? Some of it's just speculation because a game was released in Japan a million years ago...

Yeah, the Nintendolife "coming soon" list isn't much more than educated guesswork. It shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Well as far as I can tell, if a game gets released in Japan that America or Europe also originally had, it goes on the list. We're not to know if a game just released in Japan that we also originally had too will be released the following week or the following year. But yeah, until a game gets ESRB rated or announced or whatever official channel, we won't know for sure if we'll get the same games as Japan does.

Bass X0 will explain to you

Heh. I'm done explaining it. I've done it enough times already.

O_O Holy crap!

It begins! Thirteen C64 games left to come to America!

I think the problem isn't it's just one game a week - the problem is it's one game a week between like eight consoles. If you're a Neo Geo fan, how long do you have to wait for a new game? With a backlog of games still to be released from other shores (such as the US with 14 C64 games to come), you wonder when the hell you'll see another title for that machine.

Personally I'm looking forward to some quality arcade titles - but I'd predict I wont see something along the lines of Final Fight for months. Maybe even next year at this rate! Also I'm in the UK where we seem to get one VC title every 2 weeks. Fair enough, release them steadily throught the Wiis life, but with at least eight systems, all supporting thousands of titles, they're hardly going to run out of things to release any time soon.

Yes, I'm to the point where I want arcade hits as well. I've just about given up on Nintendo releasing any of the games I'm wanting on the VC.

I don't think we'll be getting anymore Neo-Geo games for the forseeable future.

i would be very happy if it was 2 VC games per week but hey what can we do.

Online games I have are ... (I'll add more Friend Code later)
Wii Games
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros

WiiWare
Texas Hold'em
Cue Sports Pool Revolution
Bomberman Blast
Onslaught

How long do we have to wait till we get SSB64 or SMK?

Send them a letter, e-mail, or call them and tell them politely that we want to see 2 Virtual Console game weeks again. That may or may not work but at least try.

EDIT: JTCPingas09 has offically changed the name of the thread. And he's right, one game week for the Virtual Console is unacceptable.

I think you should all form an angry mob and set fire to Nintendo HQ, it won't solve your 'VC dilemma,' but it'll surely entertain me if it were to appear on the news. Or you could boycott down loadable/retail, and parade around the streets asking for equality of all regions, again, the results could end up mixed, but it'll be funny to see you all squirm when the eventual 'AAA' VC titles will be released, but a good portion of you would crack before that point. Not trying to be provocative, just breaking the ice and stirring the pot.

When did games become so pretentious? Probably when Miyamoto got locked up for concepts.

Complaints about complaints make me nauseous. Let the real whining resume. Nintendo needs to love me more. I expect all remaining first-party games to come out next Monday, or else I'm going to write an angry letter filled with frowny faces and send it to Mario.

That's just funny...

It really is unacceptable when we're still in need of C64 titles, VCA titles, N64 titles, not to mention titles that have been confirmed at one point or another, the list goes on and on. When a game like say Uncharted Waters comes around, it's easier to bear since it's actually a good game and they're using the opportunity wisely but when they're stalling for releases like this when we're still waiting on titles we should already have in our possession by now, you can't help but feel like their rate of releases is ridiculous/lacking.

Mind you, as much as I want SSB64, Mario Party and all the other anticipated VC releases, we need to have the right perspective. They'll probably come when we least expect it or even on a Holiday update or at the end of the year or something. Either way, we must continue to be patient. I mean... it's not like we have a choice right? Until then, try to enjoy whatever VC releases do come our way. Rather than having the attitude of "that's one less game to release on the VC" and moving on, try to have the attitude of "here's a game that can help hold me over longer for the games I really want". And if VC isn't doing that for you, then look to WiiWare but you don't have to complain every week about the absence of Super Mario Kart.

i don't get vc releases....how much work really needs to be done? I mean there are thousands of games in all the respective system....AT LEAST 30% have to be licensable for VC sale--i know that issue comes up with a lot of games...but even a conservative estimate puts 3-4 games a week (don't need to all be high-profile releases--we all want our SNES ABC Monday Night Football or our Legend of Kage, and thanks for the latter btw) as a healthy marker for the rest of the console's lifetime and beyond. I can understand Nintendo wanting to space expected-big-seller titles, so as not to screw their own market...but games they have the license to release and aren't...I just don't get the economic sense. Plain and simple.

The whole "space 'em out" strategy looks good on paper because that'll get people to look forward to releases but they forget to account for the fact that many of us are simply disappointed with VC releases put out in the meantim and as a result, some may lose interest in future releases entirely.

@FroguinZX. Look up post #53 (My post) for an better idea that might work. You just posted that to have something to laugh at, right?

@weirdadam: That was hailrious!

@KnucklesSonic8: I have a long respone, so hopefully, you don't fall asleep (I know you wouldn't).

Commondore 64 game are not supposed to be release every week, once a month is enough, maybe more if we miss a month. Sure we need some, but we're not in a drought with the Commondore 64, unlike the Virtual Console and Nintendo 64.

Next, the Virtual Console Arcade. Ever since launch, Nintendo of America has not let American have anymore Virtual Console Arcade games, when Japanese gets one EVERY SINGLE WEEK and Europeans just got Space Harrier Arcade (Althought we could be getting it in the very near future). There's no point in this and the drought has been unacceptable. Only two games is in the North American Virtual Console Arcade "Coming Soon" list, Space Invaders and Space Harrier. We'll likely get Space Invaders first, because Nintendo of America said only early 80's games at latest. I call foul to that, because all of their games are from the mid-80's, also, Nintendo has not put out an single game from them, which is also unaccpetable, because we should at least have Donkey Kong too. So what I'm saying is that Nintendo of America is being soooooo lazy about this.

A console in a even worse situation is the Nintendo 64, my favorite video game console and the one that got me into gaming. I cannot believe that the legacy is being overshadowed by it's embarrissing lineup on the Virtual Console. Sure it's mostly good games, but they're all from Nintendo. That's right, it has no third-party support on the Virtual Console. Worse yet, unless they can earn the right to produce Rare-made games on the Virtual Console, there are just 15 Nintendo-published title in North America:

1. Super Smash Bros.
2. Aerofighter
3. Bettle Adventure Racing
4. Mario Party
5. Mario Party 2
6. Mario Party 3
7. Donkey Kong 64 (Has the Jetpac game, which is still owned by Rare)
8. Excitebike 64
9. Animal Forest (Import)
10. Cruis'n World
11. Cruis'n Exotica
12. Pokemon Stadium (Uses the Rumble Pak)
13. Pokemon Stadium (Uses the Rumble Pak)
14. Dr. Mario 64
15. Hey You! Pikachu! (If it's going to be on the Virtual Console, it will require Wii Speak for
use.)

Let's say Super Smash Bros. was released on the Virtual Console on June 15th, 2009 and every once every month, the games I mentioned came out in these order (Including Super Smash Bros.):

1. Super Smash Bros. (June, 2009)
2. Aerofighter (July, 2009)
3. Bettle Adventure Racing (August, 2009)
4. Mario Party (September, 2009)
5. Mario Party 2 (October, 2009)
6. Excitebike 64 (November, 2009)
7. Mario Party (December, 2009)
8. Cruis'n World (January, 2010)
9. Pokemon Stadium (Feburary, 2010)
10. Pokemon Stadium (March, 2010)
11. Animal Forest (April, 2010)
12. Cruis'n Exotica (May, 2010)
13. Hey You! Pikachu (June, 2010)
14. Dr. Mario 64 (July, 2010)
15. Donkey Kong 64 (August, 2010)

If Nintendo 64 games were to be release every month, we would run out of Nintendo 64 games that could be on the Virtual Console, if we don't see ANY third-party support. And it might end sooner, because some of these game might have a problem getting released. I'll list games that'll have the problem from the least of concern to the biggest issues:

Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2: They require the Rumble Pak, it was half the fun for people who had it.

Hey You! Pikachu!: If they want to be able to mimic the game on the Virtual Console, the people will NEED Wii Speak for it. Had Wii Speak bombed, this game wouldn't stand a chance to get an Virtual Console rerelease.

Donkey Kong 64: Nintendo may own Donkey Kong, but it's release is questionable at best, mainly because it has Jetpac, which was made by RARE. Games own by Rare=Virtual Console no-show (Unless Nintendo does something about it).

If we can't release those games, any third-party games, or games with licensing issues, that brings us down to 11 games. So if one Nintendo 64 game were release per month, we would be out by May, 2010. You have to admit, support is terrible and if Nintendo doesn't do something about this, I said this a million time and will say it again, but it will be more remembered for it's embarrassing Virtual Console library then the masterpieces that Nintendo created. Microsoft fanboys will be laughing at us because they get all the RARE games, while our pot is empty with nothing in it before. What are we going to do? This is what third-party support is for, it desperaretly needs some good third-party games, no matter how poor it was. We can only be thankful that we don't see new Nintendo 64 games on the Virtual Console every month now.

And NOA stragety is not working not, not even a little. If anything, it's causing hardcore gamers one by one to stop caring about the Virtual Console. They'll rely on online purchasing or even worse, ROMs for classic games. I'm doing the latter to a certain degree, not because I have given up hope (I wouldn't), but because I want to be able to play some of the best games that I have never got to experience and for such a hardcore gamer like me, that wasn't much to deal with. Because someday, I want to see a real Nintendo of America (Don't get me wrong, Nintendo of Japan and Europe are great). The one that are willing to fix licensing issues so we can enjoy the classic games from the past, the one that is not afraid of not having M rated games published or developed by them and yet appeal to all audience. Not the one we have right now. Also someday, we all want to play all the classic games from the past that we are desprately waiting and waiting for so we can thank Nintendo for giving us a legal way to experience the Virtual Console, instead of most hardcore gamers forgetting that it existed. I feel guilty that I'm using ROMs for some unreleased games right now, because they are illegal. Not the Virtual Console. Nintendo listen to us. If this was also meant to fight piracy, show us that you mean it.

Thus, ending my comment.
