1. whats happened to mario kart wii?

Do not get me wrong I personally think the wait for said game was just although what has happened to some of the features in the game?

I have listed some and although their is nothing in my or i think your power that can change this, i would like your views:

Missions:
missions have made a disapearance in the wii i think they were the possibly best part of the ds version rather than defeating your frinds over multiplayer. I enjoyed having to race random characters to the end and i miss having to get the coins in the set time you may now say i am sad....

Special abilities:
In the Game cube version of mario kart double dash!!, the fact that every pair had an ability such as bowser large freaky spikey shell,
DK's large bannana, and the chain chomp that baby mario obtained lcall me old fashioned but i wished to see them as they were the peak of my anticipation.

Items:
without concerning the special unique items obtained by individuel pairs in the game i wished that i would yet of got to use the feather item whiched appeared only ever once i think in the 64 version or snes, but i never got to play them as they were not my era of N-gaming and was wishing that the item would be replaced again for its second appearance but no we got a cloud of evil thunder soon to turn you to the size of a marmaset (worlds smallest monkey) if you are DK unless you pass it on as the hot potatoe it is.

Ok, now it is your turn to tell me your views as i hope i am not the only person in the world still depressed on the fact they dropped the best bits, although still best game ever in my oppinion to enter the wii's franchise,
As you can probably tell i am English and have yet to experience the life of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl still 2 months for me.....

Actually, you've managed to pin point the only two things i don't like about Mario Kart Wii - the lack of special abilities like in Double Dash, and that stupid lightening thing you get now. I still love it though, and think it's got better tracks than Double Dash. + continental and worldwide play is fantastic if you ask me :)

Mario Kart would be sinnfully boring without the items imo. i like the Retro Cups too, but Banshee Broadwalk was already used on the Retro Cups on the DS; i'd love to play that on the Wii liiike.

If you're racing with just you and a friend it's really irritating, because i think the only place you're immune from ever getting that cloud is if you're in last place, but if there's only two of you and you're 2nd, it doesn't realise that as well as being 2nd you're also last, so it's difficult - nearing impossible - to win if you keep getting that :
