Hi, can someone please help me, I have lots of questions about using a US Wii console in the UK. I know there has been questions posted about importing a Wii but I couldn't find an appropriate answer to what I was looking for.

I have just purchased a Wii from the U.S. and was told to get a uk power ac adapter with the 3 pins for the Wii. I searched online on Amazon and found what I assume are generic adapters (input: AC 100-240V, output: DC 12V 3.7A). I was wondering if they work on my Wii or would I have to purchase a nintendo power adapter. Will I also need a stepdown transformer as well as this UK 3 pin adapter??

If the generic adaptors work on its own with the wii without a stepdown transformer how much should I be spending on it?
If I do need a stepdown transformer where can I find it and how much will it be?
