1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

A little known game that seems to be please every Nintendo fan out there with their favorite character is out. It goes by the name of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. So those of us that are lucky here in the Sates were able to pick one up on Sunday. My question is have you picked up the game yet?

I picked it up and was giggling like a little school girl with the game in my hand. Mind you that I haven't really played any of Brawl's predecessors (I did play Melee couple of times and had tons of fun which prompted me to pick up Brawl). The game looks fabulous, music is top notch, and the fun factor is through the roof. Love the physics in the game, especially when characters are launched in the air, all thanks to the Havok Engine. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test out the online functions as I was getting a error code, and from what I have heard many people were getting the same message. So if you have picked up the game, what you think of it? Has the game lived up to the hype?

:-D

Read the review for my opinions.

I finished the review the day before yesterday, and yesterday I played a lot more WiFi matches (all of them with friends though). I have to say that the lag is terribly annoying and overall the online experience is rather lacking and underwhelming.

i have the game and i say that it lives up to what it was meant and said it was going to be. unfortunatley i dont have close enough access to the internet so i cant go on wi-fi matches, which to me doesnt sound like it is all that good. some of the hidden characters take to long to get like sonic, you have to practically wrap the game just to get him.overall it is a very good game and i will be playing for many years until i have beat the game down to every last small detail.

I am a hardcore gamer.

Yeah I read you review and pretty much agreed with it. Good review by the way.

I know the game is worth every penny, I got lucky with mine as Circuit City was running a promotion where you reserve the game at their store you get a $10 gift card, but the people that were working weren't able get that working for some odd reason so whoever reserved the game got $10 off from the original price. So I got mine for $39.99 + tax of course.

I am enjoying it, and I also believe that the game lives up to hype and I love fact that it is packed with extra content.

This game is just... too... huge!

I spent the first few days unlocking the characters and stages- mostly playing through the SSE.

Then i started to tinker around in the classic mode with a few characters- still fond no one I can use as god as Pikachu. I enjoy playing as Wolf though.

The event matches, I've only plowed through the first 25 or so- I intend to get back to them at some point. The stadium I haven't even looked at yet. Done the SSE two times now: Once solo, once with a friend. All Star mode hasn't even been looked at yet. There is just an overwhelming amount of things left to do in this game.

And all that stuff is just the value added extras- the brawls themselves are epic. I've played about 15 hours of the game with my mate so far, and I'm loving everything.

Tried the online, and I think participating in battles is a bit slow. Free for alls are alright, but I am more of a team player myself (less pot luck, more skill involved), and it seems a real chore to get other people in on a team over the WFC.

All in all, I think it is by far superior to its predecessors- and those I both loved and played to death.
