1. Has the DS changed gaming?

I imported my DS from America a few months before it was released over here in England, and I was incredibly excited about it. Since then though, apart from my enduring love for Animal Crossing: Wild World, I can't say all that many DS games have grabbed me. Lost in Blue was very nice, and New Super Mario Bros., Sonic Rush Adventure, Pokémon Diamond and Project Rub are all good games.

I can't help but feel underwhelmed by my DS with regards to the number of truly innovative games developed for it. When it was announced I thought of all the possibilities, the new games we could play, but so far I wouldn't say there was one stand-out title for it in the way Super Mario Galaxy stands out on Wii, for example.

What do you think? Has the DS changed the way you play games? Is it, as for many people, the very reason you started playing games? Are Nintendo chasing sales rather than truly innovating?

Oh yeah it has, it is the first portable system that I actually kept and play on a daily basis. Also I am looking forward to newer games that are coming out for it like Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. It's a perfect portable entertainment system for me and I love it. I am really glad that Nintendo did the touch screen which brought about newer way to play games. I just want the next one to have a memory storage built in, SD card reader, MP3 player, decent web browsing out of the box, and a calendar system. That would awesome! :-D

The DS is a great console. I must say i carry it around with me always because
it contains quick games, which you can play when you have 5mins.
I must admit, it only has a few great games but the others are a laugh!

to me, a DS just isnt that special anymore. I've had a regular ds for about a year and a half and then just this christmas i got a ds lite. the improvements arent all that great but the ds kinda gets really boring after you've had one for 2 and a half years.
