Perhaps try turning off the security on your Wireless Access Point and see if your DS can connect correctly, then if its defiantly working re-enable the security (WEP or WPA - one of these doesn't work on DS) and double check all the passwords.

I'd try not to disable the firewall if at all possible.

I don't have a DS but I remember hearing that the DS only supports WEP. (I don't know if this has changed recently). WPA (& WPA2) are the newer stronger encryption standards. If you have a relatively new wireless modem\router then it's porbably configured to WPA.

You may need to drop down to WEP. WEP is crackable, but whether anyone would bother is another point.

I do this with my PSP without a problem, should be pretty similar. But you'll need to set your wireless to WEP and set your own WEP key ( 64 bit and not 128 ). you normally be able to set 4 keys to choice from in the future.

You will need to access your router from a PC access your wireless router with a local IP address in IE, for example 192.168.2.1 ( or similar ), and set it in this, your belkin manual should have this address. By default, the belkin has a blank administration password to the router.
