1. Cookie?

Alright ant,
Just a quick moan - i'm assusming that you're storing a cookie on the users computer of when they last viewed the site and the posts they've read so that you can show new posts or something along those lines e.t.c
One problem with that is that because i'm consistently looking from work and from home I get old posts that I read earlier at work showing up as new posts at home - even my posts!

Just letting you know. I know it isn't a biggie but it's a bit annoying!!

Cheers,
Kez

P.S i'd still like some way of being able to press a button next to a topic that took me directly to the new posts in that topic!!

2. Re: Cookie?

Can't you just click on when the last post was done? ie the date and time, it takes me right to the last comment

kezzzs means the next new post to him, the first new one he has seen even is there have been more after that.

As for the main problem I don't think I have that when using two pc's. I will have a look next time I look. I mostly use rss anyway.

5. Re: Cookie?

A cookie couldnt do that, a cookie on stays on one machine. The recently viewed info would need to be kept with your profile on the database for that to be possible. Not sure if it is at the mo, thats one for ant ;)
