1. The fall of GBA

Hey, do any of you guys know when Nintendo will stop making GBA games? Or have any ideas?
Only, I just bought a micro and I'll be pretty pissed off if they're stopping production in a few months or something.

lol if you just bought a micro then you have years of GBA games to catch up on. So it aint a major problem if they stop supporting it :)

I only got a micro 'cos my SUPER RETRO Game Boy Advance (one of those original purple ones, lol) got stolen with about 10 games.
Yeah... anyway, I also got an X-Rom cartridge, so I can download roms and stick 'em on there.

There's the site where you can buy an X-Rom if you're interested. Expensive, yes, but you can hold five or six games at once.

Nintendo have always said the DS wasn't a replacement for GBA... but to be honest, the success of the DS probably spells the end of the GBA, there are still a handful of titles coming out (more so than gamecube's last 6 months) so who knows :$

Final Fantasy V is coming out in a few days. It's worth every cent.

There is already so much out for the GBA (remember that is also plays GB games), but it isn't exactly the cutting edge anymore. Eventually I think it'll get dropped, but for now its pretty safe.

I think that the DS did replace the GBA but that does not mean I will stop playing my advance.

I just play my GBA games on my DS Lite. Golden Sun and Pokemon Emerald all the way!

Nintendo are allegedly developing a new DS with bigger screens, bigger memory, and no GBA port. Heard about it? Can anyone confirm it?

The GBA is probably the only Nintendo console I didn't like. I have two GBA games in total, both of which get played on my DS if i really feel like playing them.
