1. The Fate of your GC?

With the Wii coming out and having the ability to play all of your old GC games, what are you doing with your Gamecube? Selling it? Hoping one day it will be worth something and put it in storage?

What about the controllers and memory cards too? Since they will work on your shiny new Wii too.
If you keep all your games/controllers/memory cards or you will be left to sell if the actual system and its cables. I'm not sure anyone would want to buy that really.

Personally I am selling just the GC system to a friend and keeping all peripherals/games for myself.

I am keeping my GC hooked upto my TV with the DK bongo drums always in :D

To get rid of my GC would be a sad sad day for me.

Tbh, I dont think you'd get much for a Gamecube these days, I could be wrong, but for the bother of selling it and only getting about £40, i'd much rather keep mine :)

I agree. I got my GameCube on its launch date and since I'm Nintendo-Mad, I ain't selling it.

It'll probably be pushed further and further down into the cupboard, until one day I'm in a retro mood and I feel like playing Wind-Waker like it was meant to be played - on that humble purple box that has been so cruelly judged by PS and XBox fans alike, the bastards.

I mean, I still get out my old 64 or SNES and have a good game of Super Mario or Ocarina of Time (and if I'm feeling adventurous, Iggy's Wreckin' Balls... oh, I should add that to my list of Worst Games ever!).

Long live Nintendo!

I cracked my cube out the other day after about 4 months of redundancy... I started Zelda master quest... but then thought 'Shit I can't play this game now... it'll take me months to complete.. and Twlight Princess is going to get in the way...' so I turned it off and un plugged it... I think this is possibly the last time I'll ever use it.. a sad day.. but boy am I glad to see the back of that horrible purple box... at the time I loved it... but now it just looks like some kinda cheap toy.. the Wii hits the spot of me, cool, sleek and unobtrusive unlike a couple of other next gen consoles I could mention
