Okay boys and girls, the site is coming together now, hope you all like the changes I've been making since I got back off holiday, number of things I still wanna do before pushing the site abit more.

However, I think its about time we came up with some ideas to promote the site, you know like having a NintendoLife.com link in your other forum sigs and such.

Any ideas people?

Have some kind of scam competition that'll bring in some punters

^^^ Sounds good. Not the scam ; i'm referring to the competition aspect . You could advertise a game giveaway for the nth registered user.

Yeah, we'll certainly be doing competitions... however, for companies to give us prizes, they'll want to know that it'll get seen by lots of users... which brings us back to the original promoting thing

Competitions will be here, just not until we get more users

*Game of the Month (based on user ratings maybe?)
*Coming soon, and just released links

*Polls/votes?
*Maybe even some interviews

The more stuff we have, the more people will be recommending the site to others.

As for publicity, how about getting on gamerankings, digg and del.icio.us Maybe email all the old gc-uk/gameswire members?

Out of interest, how many hits is the site getting now?

some real good ideas there, i like the polls idea as i can never resist them on other sites
also an indepth faq about nintendo and each machine with the top 10 best sellers on there would also be good.
the way i see this site is not so much a game site but a shrine to nintendo so to speak with facts and info all over the place(easter eggs maybe)
also in october im going to new york and of course to the nintendo world store where ill take loads of pics to put on the site
all i want is for people to come to the site and be like " shit i didnt know that about nintendo" this site kicks ass
anyway ill stop now p_q

That'd be cool DarkHadou, you can write a report on what you find there and we'll stick it up with photos and stuff

We'll certainly be adding things like ReInstall has talked about, but for the moment I don't wanna try and do too many things at once, so I'm keeping things fairly simple and getting the most important things done.

I should be able to do some work promoting the site and what not - just wait 'till my exams are over
