1. Have you given up on the GC?

Personally I've given up, but not on purpose. I've given up because of the lack of shops and there tiny ass Gamecube section, yes I could buy games online, but there isn't that many exclusives that make me want to go out and buy.

But for me, if there's a game thats on Gamecube and Xbox, i'm more likely to buy it on the Xbox *sigh :(*

Am I the only person?

I pretty much have. Though this is a good oppurtunity to go back and pick up some of the classics you may of missed - they're all dirt cheap. Definetly waiting for LoZ, but if theres a multiformat release - I dunnno - i think I prefer the Cube controller so I probably pick it up for that - not that many get released any more... Rugrats anyone?

I still support the GameCube, at work I will plug Nintendo as much as possible.
I still have games I want to play on it so I doubt if my Cube will ever be put away, hell I still have 2 N64'shooked up to my TV ;)

While it is dead as far as new releases are concerned there are plenty of old games that are AAA titles, I dont care about new games if the old ones are superb as well!

Kinda get what your talking about, there aren't many gamecube games left that i'm looking forward too, but in reality its only got around 6 months of life left anyways..

saying that, there are plenty of good titles that have already been released.. :)

The 'Cube has the games that I go back to time and time again. It has the best controller (until Wii I suppose). And it doesn't take up much space which keeps my wife happy. I'm not sure the 'Cube will vanish just yet. Afterall, the GBA is still kicking around even though the DS is here.

The 'Cube was (oops even my glass is half empty, I mean IS) a victim of timing and publicity. It came out too late and didn't receive the advertising support it needed and deserved. I think Nintendo have gambled and won with the Wii but with the 'Cube they floated the system on their reputation alone. That just doesn't cut it these days...

Yeah, I'm still playing through some gamecube games before the Wii arrives, however there are only 2 new gamecube games I'm looking forward to, Super Paper Mario and Zelda.

And I guess thats only 1 as I'll be getting Zelda for Wii at launch ;)

10. Re: Have you given up on the GC?

I personally cant wait for the Wii to come out cause loads of GC's and games will be traded into my work. Then I can get all the titles I have been meaning to get for my GC over the pat years. Like Ant said, there are only 2 good games left on the GameCube to come out... one of those I will get on the Wii.

Too true, Nintendo have to realise that marketing is important and they need to have a campaign that appeals to the older generation of gamers. A lot of people judge on the graphical style of games and the Cube had wave after wave of 'kiddy-looking' games. Red Steel is one of those games that should appeal to the 18+ generation more.
