A dubbed Fire Emblem anime VHS tape. I'm not sure if I still have a working VCR, but I bought it anyways. Too bad it hasn't been re-released on DVD (though I know there are sellers selling bootleg transfers). My guess is it was cheaper to license the first time because few people outside of Japan had probably heard of the game at the time.
A bunch of cheap CIB Super Famicom SRPGs.
I also ordered some seemingly obscure Japanese PS1 game called Lup Salad. Looks super-cute but it's a block-pushing puzzle game, so I can't resist. GameFAQs (which is how I found it, while looking up other games) claims it was released on PSN in NA, but my PSP and Wikipedia seem to say otherwise. :(

I've recently purchased Sonic 2 for the Mega Drive. Very nostalgic, and defiantly one of my favourite 2D platformers.

Best part is, its the european/japanese box, without ugly melting Sonic.....

"Melting Sonic"? Checking GameFAQs it would seem Sonic 2 had the same box in all regions except Japan.
Sonic 1, the US had a different Sonic than other regions.

Sonic was redesigned to appeal to the American crowd when he was carried over. They got rid of the soft colors, gave him a mohawk, and made him look like he was trying to hard to be badass. In short, it ain't pretty.

Sonic stayed the same in Europe and Japan....for some reason.

I wondered if maybe he was suggesting Kirby was re-marketed in North America to be more of a "bad dude" like Sonic.

Found a model 2 Genesis CIB with Sonic 2 at an antique store for $18. Will make 3 Genesis that I own now but CIB at that price is something I can't pass up. Guy also got a bunch of Genesis, NES, SNES, N64, and Saturn games as well. Said he will call me as soon as he gets them in inventory and priced. Told him I will buy most of them up because I assume they will be dirt cheap with the way he priced a CIB console.

He also has CIB Super Scope I am debating about driving back to get. Wants $8 for it.

Does a Gameboy Micro count as a retro purchase? I just ordered in a Gameboy Micro.

Given that it's a system that offers me nothing I couldn't do before, I am absurdly excited for this.

Separately ordered an Aahhh!! Real Monsters SNES manual and cart.
Bought a listing that (at least from the photo) seems to be a non-Majesco manual. The cart, less concerned.
Why a Nick-based game? Not enough Lost Vikings ripoffs. :)
Played it once as a kid, kind of enjoyed it. Want to try again.
And I remember Rocko's Modern Life being a surprisingly decent platform/puzzle game. Just way too short that even when I was about 10, I thought my parents got scammed a bit when they paid $55 for my original copy.

Last night I got the Dragon Quest spin-off and the father of the Mystery Dungeon series: Torneko no Daibōken: Fushigi no Dungeon for the Super Famicom. So far I think it's good.

I'm not sure if this counts because I got it on 3DS Virtual Console and not the actual cart but I got Mega Man 2. Great game.

Classic Sonic will always be the number 1 Sonic! I think Modern Sonic's great but will never beat my original Classic Sonic.
