Yeah, ebay and Amazon have some great prices, its just all about having a good eye. I'm sure not every GBA SP online is fine tuned to corrupt your save data, that's most likely a problem unique to yourself.

I really need a new GBA SP. Mine's getting old, and I really want the back-lit one, I have the front-lit screen. Also known as, the AGS-001 and not the newer AGS-101 models. I still have a whole list of GBA games I never got, but really am interested in. Too bad Gamestop basically stopped holding onto them, same with Gamecube games. I've had to resort to ebay and Amazon.

dont ever ever buy gba from ebay or amazon because it always deletes the game file looks for a playntrade my gamestop still sells gamecube games and gba games just not that much

? Maybe you just ran into someone selling you a faulty product. I've bought lots of stuff from Amazon and ebay and they've worked fine for me.

no its i buy factory seaaled pokemon emerald and leafgreen and mario & luigi superstar saga and they always delete my file i think the battery is dead

@mieu-fire, if you mean the games, yes Pokemon games tend to do that. That's not because of ebay or Amazon though, that can happen if you buy them from Gamestop or even to an old copy of your own. Luckily I have all the GBA Pokemon games, so I'm not looking for them.

It's not a unique problem. You just have to be really careful, and I suggest eBay over Amazon, since then you can find ones that use detailed pictures of the actual products, as well as their return policies.

I'd have to choose the DS Lite over the GBA SP, as the DS Lite will play all the GBA games (in single-player only) plus the awesome library of DS games, and I think GBA games never looked better than on the DS Lite. But the GBA SP was awesome for the time. My SP's built-in light is nowhere near as bright today as it used to be, but my old DS Lite has held up perfectly and it's what I use to play GBA games.

Does anybody remember Doom on GBA?

YES!!!

Gameboy Color, Sega Nomad, and Neo Geo Pocket Color. The Atari Lynx was also surprisingly good too.

GameBoy Advance. Compact and good battery life. Does anyone remember the Game & Watch LCD games though? !

I really liked the Game Boy Color. It made it much easier to see the Donkey Kong Land games and gave us the colorized version of Zelda: Link's Awakening. If I had a GBA, I'd probably vote for that though. Crazy library with that backwards compatibility.

I've had fond nostalgic times with my GB Pocket & GBA, but I'd say the it has to be DS Lite for me.

I got my first job a few months after getting it (as a high school graduation gift), so...

1. I was able to buy more games than ever before.

2. Due to my job (and college), I didn't have as much time for console gaming, so the DS took center stage.

Because of those two reasons, my DS library was twice as large as my GB or GBA libraries ever were.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

My first handheld was a GBA-SP. Loved it to bits

And a lot of people hate on N-Gage but I thought it had some cool games on it.

Nobody likes the Game.COM? Hell! It doesnt even like itself.

I'm going to say the GBC, it really dominated when Nintendo went Color, in my opinion it had better games than even the GBA itself! It was the peak of my childhood.

gotta say Gameboy Colour . Took two batteries compared to GB's 4, gave colour to old games and new games (Though there werent many) were nice looking, and the infra red port was dynamite for a wee Mystery Gift.

It also came in snazzy colours, and didn't feel like they were just cashing in. There's an art to doing that.

GBA:SP. That thing is awesome. It can play all generations of GB, has a lit screen and fold down to protect the screen. Also it is so compact.

It's just an empty pot...
