Seeing how Nintendo apparently is fine with hacking the classic systems (they left a hidden message in the NES for the hackers I believe), I guess I wouldn't mind. I could add any N64 games I wanted. Though, like with SNES I'll just add the games I grew up with. Including Jet Force Gemini, no idea why Microsoft won't give us that game on the Wii U already, lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
My N64 collection is almost where I want it so any classic system that I buy is for collecting/nostalgia. So long as they don't put superman or daikatana on it, I'm game.

They wouldn't put Superman on it but Superman is one of the only Western games I think to really attract a "kusoge" fanbase. AGDQ said they got a surprising amount of social media during its appearance a week ago. (even if they played on Easy Mode to save an hour by skipping everyone's "favorite" part of the game)
Was Conker 64MB (the largest official ROM size)? I think very few N64 games were even that size. I think just that, Resident Evil 2 and the PAL version of Paper Mario (for multi-language text).
@RETRO_J Guess you're right. I hope they never go that route if the N64 Classic ever becomes a thing, but it's true that it isn't as simple a project as the NES and SNES Classic.
@kkslider5552000 The problem I see with a PS1 Mini is the amount of third-party titles Sony would have to include for it to represent the most popular games on the system. Lots of Square, Konami, Capcom and Namco stuff.
@Dezzy Sony is a bit different in this regard than Nintendo, Sony doesn't have their own in house IP's like Nintendo does, Sony buy's own exclusivity for its consoles from 3rd party developers, Sony does make some of it's own games but they are shovel ware, i'll give you an example.
FFX on the PS1 was an exclusive, but it isn't owned by Sony, if Sony were to release a PS1 remake they would need to pay Square for the rights, Metal Gear Solid was a PS1 exclusive, but same as above, and this applies to many of the best games on the PS1.
Now it is possible for Sony to do this because there is a handful of titles released by developers that Sony has purchased outright (like NaughtyDog) or developers that work mostly on Sony like Insomniac Games but it would greatly devalue a PS1 mini as there isn't enough good games from developers like that to justify marketing and re releasing a PS1.
I skipped snes classic because i have a snes with 30 titles and excellent low lag emu solution. Sold my 64 a couple of years ago 😐.
So 64 mini maybe an option the 10 would have to be
-zelda OoT
-zelda Mm
-mario 64
-mario tennis (4 controllers a must )
-a mario party
-goldeneye (if possible)
-paper mario
-mkart 64
-conkers
-perfect dark
I realised that. Except Sony does have a fair amount of first party stuff. Crash Bandicoot, Cool Boarders, Spyro, Legend of Dragoon, Gran Turismo. Even FF7 was done with Sony's help.
So they could easily just have ALL of their first party stuff and then just a handful of the most essential 3rd party exclusives like Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil.
Although I'm sure they will probably make one, I'm not entirely 100% convinced an N64 Mini is coming for the simple fact that the controller would be bigger than the console, and if they have to put at least 2 and hopefully 4 to take advantage of the N64s strengths, it just isn't all that feasible. That said, if there were only 10 games, they would probably be ones I still have or have played to death so I would probably pass. It would really need some surprises to get me to bite.

It's also an odd one because, unlike the NES and SNES, the N64 wasn't actually successful (especially in Japan where it was a complete disaster), so it's like celebrating the thing that almost sunk your home console business (but I suppose they can look back and laugh now). Plus, due to licensing issues, it's unlikely Goldeneye would be on it and for a lot of people I know, Goldeneye is like 90% of their N64 nostalgia. They'd have to put a big sticker on the box like "Warning: This does not include Goldeneye".
@Haywired
Didn't N64 sell only marginally better in PAL regions than Japan as well? Basically only sold really well in the American region. (I thought Nintendo's released sales figures were something like 4, 5 and 20 million consoles for JP, PAL and "the Americas")
Wii U is still the record lowest-selling Nintendo home console, with only Virtual Boy and Pokemon Mini selling lower.

I know that. Think Sony would do it, probably not that much more difficult compared to having a console where you can download these old games.
I think the bigger problem is that it will be a mostly kid friendly collection that will have to be M rated because there's no way it won't have Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid.
