Snowhead Temple (Majora's Mask) was frustrating to get around the tower. I never knew that I had to punch those ice cylinders of the piller I raised........And as Goron Link, It was a pain to get around big gaps or on the snow ramps and such............I FELL HALF OF THE TIME!!! UGH!

I seem to remember a dungeon where you're on a constantly moving platform and you have to hit these switches while avoiding these pointy things that hurt you. That's one of the most outrageously unfair parts of any game I've every played. Is that the dungeon you're talking about?

Yes.

I forgot the most evil one! The Moon. Goron Room. PAIN.

The trick is to not attempt to turn.

Oh, I just remembered that darn ice temple in TP. I hate that dungeon! You have to jump from platform to platform without getting hit by their maces or whatever. That one part where you have to walk across the wall in the courtyard and go in some rooms annoyed me so much, that after about the 100th time respawning, I almost quit. I said to myself, "If I don't get it this time, I'm done!" Coincidentally, I did get through it. All it takes is some self motivation. None of the other dungeons in TP bugged me enough to remember except for that one.

Eagle Tower.

Link's Awakening had some seriously clever design. Even in dungeons that were tricky and somewhat expansive, it was possible to progress in bite-sized chunks and save. For a system like the Game Boy, which didn't have any sort of standby mode (and the extra RAM to do suspend saving was cost-prohibitive), this was probably essential to making the game at all playable on the go. If you sit down and play, you realise that you can progress fairly quickly relative to some other Zelda titles.

However, this game also has Eagle Tower. I've never determined if it's possible to get the giant iron ball irrevocably stuck or not (thus effectively ending your game permanently), but I will say that both of my attempts to play through the game have ended with poor clipping on what is really a cool idea.

I think it was the 6th dungeon in ALttP that had the big tower and you had to push blocks down it through the holes. If anyone is having a hard time with that, I suggest skipping it and moving onto the 7th dungeon. The 7th is a bit tough because the enemies are quite powerful, but you will get an item that will make the 6th 200% easier. It may have been the 5th and 6th, I can`t remember which is which. Also, the boss in the 6th (or 7th) is really easy.

The worst dungeons in any Zelda game? All of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, especially the main ones.

All other Zelda games have only wonderfully designed dungeons.

I'm with you on Phantom Hourglass but I thought Spirit Tracks had some of the best dungeons in recent memory

Phantom Hourglass's were too easy to figure out. The only time I got really tripped up was I think on the ship dungeon. They gave you some numbers, but that wasn't the order to pull the switches, they had some weird meaning. I just started pulling them in random order until I figured it out.

Most of the other dungeons people dislike, I really like. Especially the Water Temple. The boots were annoying, but it was just so cleverly tricky and hard.

The last dungeon in the first LoZ was really tough though. Even making a map on my computer it STILL took me forever to figure out how to get where I needed to go. I must have bombed every wall 4 or 5 times, and exited the dungeon who knows how many times to farm for them.

Edit: Also the second dungeon from Zelda II. I can't beat it.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

The first temple in Zelda II. What kind of idiot makes the first temple in a Zelda game that hard?

Shame on all of you for having opinions that I disagree with!

I didn't even have to look into this topic to guess that the majority of you would say Water Temple(OoT). I never had problems with that temple at all, until of course I started searching around on the interwebs, to find complaints about the temple that changed my opinion on it. Now I can't even get through it. Thanks a lot y'all~

The forest temple in Twillight Princess is the one that really got on my nerves. Actually just thinking about that music gets under my skin, i's like i'm back there grrrr... But also in a good way... slightly.

Who else has that music embedded in their memory forever? Or is it just me that went round and round in circles?

I don't remember the music.

Sorry it's been like 3 years since I played it. I got confused between forest temple and sacred grove. It's here if you wish to remember- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctdHjXSAaBE - but i know this isn't a thread about worst Zelda songs. Though StarFox will probably make one now

Wizzy

Idk why, but in EVERY SINGLE zelda games I've played, the temple that I've had the most trouble with is ALWAYS the Zora/Water themed temple.
