What are your top 5 worst Legend of Zelda items?

Mole Mits- they're seldom used except in the temple and when battling Vaati
Mirror Shield (Minish Cap)- you can only use it in extended play? That sucks.
Deku Nuts- Good for the tutorial dungeon (Deku Tree), but after that they're useless
Gust Jar- I just find it annoying to have to pull out
Yoshi Doll- what the heck is it good for?

The magic dust that you get in ALttP from the Witch after giving her a mushroom. I rarely use that item and the only point I see to is is using it on the creature in the well to get more magic power.

It's also required for lighting torches.

Not entirely true, in the final fight against Ganon they provide quite a good damage dealing attack due to the speed of use...Yes Ganon is the only creature in the game (please correct me if my memory has failed me) that takes damage from Deku Nuts.

If you're talking about the Yoshi Doll from Link's Awakening I'm quite surprised...again my memory might be failing me here, but if I'm not wrong then you actually have to use it to start the trading sequence which is necessary to proceed to the third dungeon.

For mine:
1. Spinner (Twilight Princess) - It never seemed to have that many uses outside the dungeon and I never found it that fun to use.
2. Bombchu (Oracle of Ages/Seasons) - They are relatively hard to acquire due to needing a code from the other game, they are also not very helpful as they aren't necessary for anything and on the GBC's pad it was made quite awkward to aim them properly.
3. Sand Wand (Spirit Tracks) - There is a theme here, again I found this item to rarely be used outside of the dungoen, and even in it, it felt like somewhat of a chore to use it...I really didn't like this item.
4. Dominion Rod (Twilight Princess) - You know what I'm going to say...not used much.
5. Spirit Flute (Spirit Tracks) - Maybe I just failed at using this, but I personally found it really awkward to play the notes at the right speed without accidentally playing a different note as I moved to a different pipe....as I say this might be because I failed at it, but none the less I disliked it.

Apologies for any mistakes I made, I didn't proof read it.

Reason for edit: Changed Megaton Hammer for Bombchu

I use it all the time to change the Anti-Fairies (those spinning things that move around the room that are found in numerous dungeons that take some of your magic when they hit you) into Fairies, which is quite helpful if you're low on health in a dungeon. I've also been able to make Fairies out of those yellow things that turn you into a bunny, but it doesn't always work. The Magic Powder can also change some enemies into less threatening ones, but not all enemies are affected.

As for worst items, all I can think of are the items that weren't used much. Why have them if they aren't going to be very useful?:

-Mirror Shield (OoT): Aside from looking cool, it wasn't really used much outside of the Spirit Temple, which is a shame.
-Hookshot (WW): Again, it doesn't get much use outside the Wind Temple, and I would have liked more chances to use it because it's a classic item.
-Ice Arrow (OoT): It's a late game item, completely optional, and not used for anything. It isn't even that great of a weapon unless you like freezing things. In fact, going through the Gerudo's Training Ground just for this doesn't seem worth it (a piece of heart would have been a better reward).
-Deku Nut (OoT, MM): Something I never use. They really aren't that great anyway.
-Bombchu (OoT, MM): Phantom Hourglass actually had a significant use for them, but Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask used them only in rare occasions. It really wasn't necessary to carry around 40 of them when they were only used once or twice in each game.

Beep.
That is all.

Bombchu (OoT, MM)
Deku Nut (OoT, MM)
Great Fairy Sword (MM) It was a "C" item and couldn't do more than just swing around...
Giant's Knife (OoT) Broke after a few swings...
That Pink Magic Guard Thing (WW): Walking around, wasting Magic for a small period of invincibility isnt really so convenient.

...so yeah ._.

You can do a magic spin attack with it, not in the form of holding and releasing the button but by rotating the analog stick before you press the button.

The best items in TP weren't used enough but they were awesome so whatever.

Not a huge fan of the bow outside of the 3D games.

Hrm...probably the Dominion Rod. Conceptually cool, but it wasn't as fun to use as it could have been.

The "Magic Armor" from TP is by far the worst Zelda item, and maybe the worst item ever.

I thought it at least looks cool. The best use of it is to get the rupees off the chests that otherwise have you putting them back a lot of the time. It's annoying to leave them showing on the map and coming back to them another time thinking it's a small key inside.

I never used it but I think it isn't a bad item, you never need it but can be very useful in some fights or in the 50 levels fairy dungeon.
