I'm really considering keeping my smash bros controller in mint condition but is it still considered mint if I take it out of the box.Considering it's a bundle I'm getting the controller with I guess the box will be bulky because it holds both the game and the controller and adapter.I'm buying a brand new Official White controller to fight off the temptation of ever using the special edition controller. Will put the smash edition controller in the white controllers's box and then keep it somewhere safe where even I couldn't get at it without effort.would the controller still be in mint condition though if I do this?

Usually collectors want something sealed in a never opened condition. It's the only way to be 100% sure it was never used. I have a feeling many people buy them to still keep them sealed. I bought a NES dogbone sealed on Ebay a few years ago for cheap($20) but I opened it and use it still. I'm selfish though.

My other Switch is a WiiU.

I wouldn't call myself an aggressive gamer that often breaks his controller infact all of my controllers work fine that I bought brand new with the exception of my last Gamecube controller before I butchered it and classic controller pro.Pre Owned Wavebirds I bought had problems of their own including a loose stick and a Z button that doesn't work at all on the other and before though it works fine now the y button didn't work sometimes.Since I have a unuseable Gamecube controller circuit board with clicky z button and non loose c stick I will try to find someone who can replace the old parts with the other old parts that actually work or if I can't find anyone then I will sell the lot on Ebay for say £20min for the repair parts and £49.99 for my gold spray Wavebird and adapter if I can start with that in an auction .I haven't sold anything on eBay yet.

If we're talking about some strung out overkill more cash than brains types like at NintendoAge or other VGA lovers, then yes you lost a good bit of coin because they'll analyze the box and see some minor creasing or breaking on the controller box folds for the flap where it was bent or extended opening it to get the controller out. If it's for a sane and rational type, most likely not because the controller is still unused, never unbagged, and therefore not touched or played with.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
