I don't understand it. Super Circuit has 40 tracks, the most of any Mario Kart game, all the classic characters and items, and it really fun. Is it just like Super Mario Bros 2 and Zelda II, where it isn't cool to admit that you like it?

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Are you sure that people hate Mario Kart Super Circuit? I don't know anybody who hates it...I personally love the game, one of the best GBA games out there.

I think he read the comments at the Super Mario Kart page.
I have read a lot of praise as well as hate for this game. I was just curious if people here liked it. It appears everyone who has left a comment so far likes it just fine.

I like coins as well. It adds another layer to the game without being complicated. Koopa Troopa and the feather were certainly missed. I am continually baffled with each sequel that does not bring back the feather.
Being on the GBA hurts it because GBA was not as multi-player friendly as DS since you had to buy a link cable that most did not have and there were fewer GBA owners than DS owners. MKDS had the bonus of being Nintendo's flagship Wi-Fi game, so everyone bought it when it came out. Mario Kart shines brightest in multi-player. I only had the chance to play someone in it once, and even then he didn't own the game, so we were limited to far fewer courses, no battle mode, and the other player had to be Yoshi.
The DS version, however, I've played online tons of times and even had numerous local parties with 8 or 12 players (I forgot the max, but I remember there being too many of us to all play at once). But if the GBA version had been released on DS instead, I think most would have enjoyed it more. As it stands, most people rank it pretty lowly in the series from what I've seen.
I like Super Circuit, but Adam is right, playing it on multiplayer was a rare thing, which made me play it less than any other MK. I recall playing it with 4 people once, no one had the game of course, so we all had to play as different colored Yoshis. Still, as an on-the-go racing game, I prefer it to MKDS.
